Ok - well the IconX does not look much like Apple AirPods, they are not white, different form factor.

anyways. its all good. I’m not that interested anymore to research whether Samsung copycatted anything. I am biased anyway.

I’d say Apple announced AirPods, and Samsung rushed to produce a knock off as fast as they could. Am I wrong in thinking that?
You are wrong. Samsung released their first wireless airbuds for sale BEFORE Apple announced Airpods. Samsung used a similar storage/charging case to Bragi Buds that preceded them, as it is the obvious method. Apple don't own white.

OK, but when did Samsung make earbuds in white with a white case that looks like AirPods? I doubt this was before Apple announced AirPods, but I’m too lazy to check. Maybe you know? That’s the key factor to me.

Kind of feel the battery level is just Samsungs way of winning the spec wars without any real world application. Who in their right mind is keeping earbuds in their ears for 11 hours?

And who needs 11 hours when they will charge in the case when you take them off. Are people really taking these (or AirPods) off and just leaving them loose (out the case) for hours on end?

Batteries have finite charge cycles so longer battery life per charge means fewer charge cycles and longer product life before being hit with battery replacement fee which Apple charges $49 outside of 1 year warranty.

2016 IconX came in white, blue and black.

I keep my Beats X in all day at work, they have 8 hour battery life and if i work overtime i need to give them a quick recharge. So yes good Battery life does have real world applications. In fact 4-5 hours battery life would be terrible for me.

@mi7chy beat me to it 😁 Now let's be clear here, Samsung have never sold wireless earbuds that look like Apple's Airpods.
By your logic, it is Apple who have "knocked off" Samsung with their AirPods.

pardon me, I’m too confused to figure this out. I’ll have to study this casually over time and figure out the order of events, and the form-factor and colors of the products.

maybe I am wrong. But you know how infrequently that happens, so Igotta go check myself and see. In other words don’t mind me - if you think I’m wrong, I really could be :).

Apple made the white ones with a nice snappy lid rounded case. We know that. When did Samsung do that? That’s what I’ll be researching. Not whether some company made Bluetooth earbud headphones first.
