That would result in fragmentation with apps since the screen ratio would change. That wouldn't be good at all, and I don't expect Apple to do it.

Hmm, I like the new design. it doesn't look almost exactly like an iPhone! That's got to be a good thing. I liked it when there was more of a variety of different shapes and sizes.
I'd need a much smaller handset though, I hope Apple doesn't go down this giant phone path.. Though I'm sure they won't!
It is so frustrating nobody can make a product that can match Apple products in terms of simplicity of design. iPhone was launched 5 years ago and yet everyone else's phones look so ugly. What are these people doing with their hands at work? Why can't they make a phone that is better than iPhone in terms of design, if not software? If so we won't have to pay as much for Apple stuff now![]()

Apple should keep the iPhone size the same on the next one and add voice capabilities to the iPad for those wanting a big screen phone.
