Harddrives? Floppies?? Pure LUXURY, you young whippersnapper!

Try 16kb RAM (including the expansion module), loading programs from a cassette recorder (you had to adjust the volume constantly until the computer would "read" it), no floppies, mono screens.

That was a early TRS-80 Model 1, and I lived with it for a year! FUN!

Ah you kids, we used to scratch our info on dinosaurs backs as monkeys. Reading it back cost arms and legs.

Well it's 9.30am here in the UK and no sign of an update anywhere... Been waiting so long for this day...

Anybody else have some news on the subject??

Might be a stupid question but how long will this take until the store goes back up?
Over-excited I may be!!

:)

I've been waiting for this.

I'm looking to buy an iMac with SSD. I should probably get it from Apple right? I've heard switching hardware in the iMac is complicated and will void warranty... What do you think? And 27" or 21"?

currently the sandy brdige processors beat all other processor for gaming as intel made them specifically for gaming.

Actually the focus of Sandy Bridge was for mobile processors; integrated graphics and reduction in power usage being two of the big things. They are good for gaming because they are just faster than anything else that has come before due to architectural refinements and high clock speeds allowed by the power usage requirements.

Store is down but the old iMac link still works -

is this normal?

Yes, as far as I know it is. They usually update the store first and then the product pages… I can't wait, so excited ;-)
