The point is.. THE CASE paired with my husbands butt broke the phone.. HOWEVER without the case, the phone would not have broken.. So how can you say that the CASE isnt the ultimate reason for it breaking?!

If you dropped your phone on a pillow, but there was a rock sitting on the pillow and it landed on it.. would you say the DROP is what broke the phone? or the rock it landed on? Because dropping it would not have broken it, but the rock it hit did break it. Take the rock away.. no broken phone.. take the case no broken phone.

The case has to be the reason it broke probably it wasn't designed to disperse weight when being sat on - or something along those lines. I'll try to not sit on my phone anymore cause I don't want a broken one! I'm bigger then those two guys in the pic, so if one is your husband then I'd better be careful!

P.S. No need to insult us all. :(

The case had nothing whatsoever to do with the crack. He sat on his bloody phone; his bodyweight, along with whatever kinetic energy he sat down with, cracked the screen.

I disagree, because he'd have to be extremely big to have just body weight break it. As I said, I've sat on it so many times I can't count and nothing has ever happened. Hell, I've had it in my back pocket will I sat on it and then my wife jumped on me. Nothing.

He sat on his phone thats why it broke. How can any of you expect a case to protect a phone that is sat on. Is that what it was designed to do? On the case manual did it say that "if you sit on your phone the case will prevent breakage", no. I have put my phone in my back pocket and sat on it while driving, i realize its there when I adjust my position and feel the phone "bend a little" and immediately get alarmed and remove it. The person here must have felt the phone bend a little (it had to for the glass to shatter) and yet did nothing. The only way he would not have felt it bend a little is he was so fat that his nerves were filled with fat instead of nerves.

Excellent analysis. That's cool that you can feel your phone "bend" quick enough to release pressure and not break it. Something tells me this makes you unique...

I'm going to agree with the OP here, without the case it's likely that it wouldn't have broken because the case put pressure on the weak point, blah blah blah.

See what your warranty on the case says and try to sucker them out've some money.

iPhones are bloody expensive :(

OP, humor me and write a claim letter to the case manufacturer. Just as some others have said, I have sat on my iPhone plenty of times, in addition to the countless drops and an occasional drunken throw, and have had the phone survive.

If you write it well there is a good chance you will get a response, maybe even a compensation.

This thread is generating a lot of fairly offensive and off topic responses, and there really doesn't seem to be anything else really to say about the OP's situation. So, I'm going to call a Time of Death on it here....
