The size is the only reason I would consider the X, I hate the size of the plus in my pocket but I live with it because of the dual cameras. The price of the X and lack of home button keep me away.
I’m sorry, call me a ‘hater’ or whatever, but I don’t see how you can be satisfied with a product that isn’t even on sale yet. I think the thread should be called ‘satisfied with the iPhone X size’ or something similar. 🙄😛
...That goodwill won't last forever, but for a few cycles they could actually get away with it 😎
How many are a few cycles? Is 10 years worth good?
Not only that, but look at how many people "settled" for the plus, just because it was considered to be the "best" iPhone (better cameras, better battery, etc...), even though it was literally the same people that in previous iterations had made fun of phablets and larger phones.
People flock to the "best" iPhone. It's status, even if it's not as much status as it used to be. I think it's hilarious, but love it because it's easy money. People just gotta have it or they feel incomplete, and outside of a very select few, it won't matter if the form factor isn't up to their expectations. It's the latest iPhone, and that's ALL that matters.
I genuinely believe Apple could coat it in rusty nails and people would still buy it. It would probably even sell out pre-orders. That goodwill won't last forever, but for a few cycles they could actually get away with it 😎

For ME, one handed use is the most overrated marketing gimmick that apple ever created. Honestly could not possibly care less about one handed use. I can use my 6s+ just fine for most things with one hand, but if hand #2 has to come in for a second, don't really care. Complete non issue and the last thing I consider when buying a phone.Yeah, the iPhone 5S design is the only one that truly supports one handed use. The iPhone X will be even worse than the 7 though.
I think that's going to be one the biggest factor for me, is the comfortability of holding it one-handed. I enjoy my iPhone Plus, but having the smaller form factor would be ideal for me. I look forward to having The 5.8 screen real estate in a smaller footprint.
side note, I have never seen a case come out before an iPhone that ended up fitting perfectly.

Some dedicated Apple fans here. Basing your purchase on a case? Good luck to you fan boys.

Try an iPhone 5 if one handed is your criteria.

If you want a real-world example, go handle a Galaxy S8 at Best Buy, Verizon, etc.
Really. That's pretty darn close to what the iPhone X is like.
I've been recommending that for a couple of weeks now. It will give you the best example of what to expect from the iPhone X; the screens are the same size and the aspect ratio is similar.
