With the Crown Prince who's actively and very controversially (at home) pushing for women's equal rights and a modernization of Saudi culture across the board you mean? Because he is, you know. It's been in the news quite a bit. But hey, as long as you can ignore that in order to attack Tim...

And on that note let's not lie and pretend like things are some kind of equality utopia here either, with the rampant racism, obvious (and embarrassing) gender pay disparity and people STILL trying to strip away marital rights from gay couples like spousal health care in the name of the church.
We don't behead people in the public square here, require guardians for women and ban them from driving.

Former Saudi King Abdullah, and his half brother, King Salman, were both moving Saudi Arabia in the right direction but very slowly. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has greatly accelerated reforms on many fronts including women's rights, formal relations with Israel, entertainment (allowing movie theaters to open after they were banned for the past 30+ years), education, etc. I applaud the great progress Prince Salman is making in modernizing Saudi Arabia and I am happy to see him meeting with Apple and other tech companies while he is visiting here in the U.S.

I have a number of friends here in the U.S. who are college students from Saudi Arabia. They are all very happy to see the direction Prince Salman is taking their country.

MBS' thoughts on the Saudi role in the rise of islamic fundamentalism is pretty interesting. In many ways it shows the difference between clever men and intelligent men when it comes to strategy and policy. In the past clever men were valued and admired, but as we've seen their "solutions" lead you down to a pit that's difficult to escape.

Somewhat lacking in snacks and refreshments, although it being Saturday probably no one had thought to fill up the vending machines.

After funding ISIS to destabilise Middle East and mostly Syria, and then bombing Yemen to stone ages and causing biggest humanitarian crisis in the world, Saudi prince found some time to meet up with Tim Cook, the biggest virtue signalling and 'humanitarian' guy that has ever lived. A man that is gay, kind of people Saudis throw off buildings for sports.

Am I forgetting anything?

This would make one heck of a Monty Python show.

P.S.
Why does TC always look like he's afraid of something in the photos?

Really hard to tell from just 1 frame, and without context, did they just sit? are they leaving? In real life you can't pull it in a second like in Lie to me :p.

If I had to pick I would say quite the oppsoite from you, the one on the left are saying: "This is what we want" and the guys on the right are like : "you can ask all you want we do not care and won't comply. " If you look the guy next to Phil seems like smiling at them, the guy next to Tim has a firm jaw giving you the idea of being angry, while the Price has a grin in his face makjng you think he believes he is in control, or pretending he is,it is all about confidence sometimes.

But then again, there's more than hands and face, and you could read it in many different way, very hard from a 1 frame pic without context,

Really pushing the dial forward there, maybe Tim only saves his moral outrage for the US.

As for women, they still have to be assigned to a man, disgusting. Oh but they can drive now so it's all better.
So one recently-empowered guy should make his centuries-old ultra-conservative sociopolitical structure look like a liberal democracy in about a month. We should only engage people whose countries look like Western Europe or Canada, even if they’re taking steps in the right direction. Boy, the chair of absolutism must be comfortable indeed.

A wise man knows what he can change, knows what he cannot change, and has the courage to change what he can change.

Tim Cook is a wise man. You are not. Or maybe you tell us exactly what _you_ have done to improve the world.

And it is my secret opinion that you don't really care one bit about the rights of women in Saudia Arabia. What annoys you to the death is what Tim Cook says and does in the USA, and you will try anything to badmouth him.

That's pretty chilling. Even if the people involved are corrupt, torture in the place if due process of law is reprehensible.
Donald Trump is all for torture. At least that's what he said in public.

Look at that boardroom picture. If it isn't proof that Apple has lost its soul and evolved into a stereotypical corporate culture, I don't know what is. The Saudis reportedly own a big stake in Apple. Investors like these are who Apple kowtows to these days.

I was gonna say the exact same thing. In Apple's own house and they look TOTALLY intimidated!

I feel differently about what the body language says. Saudis look over anxious and Apple is reluctant to leap too far for them.

It appears to me the the Saudis look eager to negotiate and Apple isn’t.

They can drive now and guardian thing is slowly being removed. We may not behead people in public but we execute them in prison. They execute them in public as a deterrent to put fear into people that there will be a price to pay for serious crimes committed. In case you are curious, it works because crime in Saudi Arabia is lower when compared to America. People in Saudi Arabia go to pray and leave their shops open without fear of being robbed. Many also leave their front doors open to their homes without fear of being robbed while in America people are out even stealing mail from mailboxes to commit mail fraud and identity fraud.

The fact that Tim sits across the table with people who persecute gays on a daily basis is the part that surprises me.

Tim "$$$$$$$$$$" or "persecution of gays" Hmmmmmmm

Also how many people walked into the glass walls getting to the conference room? Allot of security in and out of that room also. And no thats not Eddie in the blue. But dam Angela has some serious man hands.
