Say they update the MBP soon - buy one or wait further?

I don't see why you're being so negative. To most of us, the money these Macbook Pro's cost takes a lot to save. Therefore, I myself am very careful what I spend my money on because I'm a uni student and it's taken a long time to save this much money.

Hey mate i agree totally...Im also a uni student and going to invest in one.
Just not sure 15" or 17". I know is more mobile but i only really take my notebook home whenever i go. Xmas easter ... etc. Cant handle a Desktop now but the 17" is like having one!

I'm normally the same, don't take my laptop far, but I think for me personally, I'd rather have the 15" model and then maybe buy an external display
