To many hippies on this site, you guys are brainwashed

Admittedly, that's an effective approach to counter-agument when your allegation is proven to be without merit. Politicians use it all the time.

Just got back from an Apple store in NYC, 3 different eldery folks (will not mention race, will not mention race) asked me if I wanted to buy a 6 plus for $80 over cost. The store is packed so they are not so obvious to the employees

I'm guessing they will just return the phone for cash after 14 days if no bites...

Looks like overseas demand is waning, or the risk/reward to ship overseas is not justified.

I wouldn't mind purchasing it IF they have the receipt of the unopened product and same model number.

tax evasion

If its a private transaction, you're not required to pay taxes, i dont think. We as a society are taxed to death as it is. You know who is evading taxes? Apple, read up on a complex scheme they have set up in order to pay as little corporate taxes in america as they can.

Stating a fact that most scalpers are illegal is not arguing, its just funny a few posters here got there vag all hot and bothered by my comment...

Just curious...

Do you think there will ever be an end to scalping? There is always to going to be a supply & demand situation going on, whether it be concert tickets, Super Bowl tickets, the latest tech device or you name it. Capitalism in it's most basic form. They get something that's popular at price X. Based on limited availability, the find many willing buyers at price X + profit.

With tickets, iTunes Festival has a perfect solution - the ticket is in your name, and you need to show some official picture ID to be let in.

For phones, Apple could probably register the name of the buyer and refuse warranty service to anyone but the original buyer for phones bought in the initial month or say (obviously make it possible to register a different name if you buy a phone as a present).

In Germany, it would be one hundred percent taxable as "speculative gains". If you do it professionally, then obviously you'll have to pay income tax.

Of course you pay taxes...Do most people file their taxes correctly and legally, No...

Yeah, it really is getting ridiculous. This country is becoming so sissified. It weirds me out when people say they don't see color. Like, what is the person, non-transparent?

Um .... No. Secondly there is nothing wrong with being a sissy if you so choose
