Phil isn't as charismatic as Steve. Gonna be a hard sale, especially if these iMacs are the crap they are reported to be.
If you're going to pose as a mac fan with the "applekid" bit, at least throw a link around of all this reported crap you're talking about. So far, there has been nothing but rumors surrounding the new iMacs. Who knows what about what? Certainly not you.

Everything that I've heard has been very positive about the expected new iMac. They have a good consumer product, don't think they plan to disappoint.

Yah, the new iMacs are gonna suck with those crappy slow G5 chips in them...

right - ives is such a hack, too - I'm sure he'll roll out just another in a long string of crappy, thoughtless designs.

PS: phil shiller, should be a good presenter, we have seen enough of him as steve's sidekick durring intro's of new products etc, it is time that he gets the stage for himself

From those that I have seen, Phil has done a great job every time he takes part in a presentation. I just think that Steve ought to be visible, and that he will naturally become involved somehow in the intro of the iMac. No question that Phil could do it alone, but Steve needs to appear [via iChat is fine, even cool in a black mock turtle kind of way] to show the shareholders and Wallstreet types that he is recovering nicely. Remember, many people believe that Apple might not keep up the insanely great things without him in total control [fair or not].

We should all pray that Steve Jobs is no longer in a hospital gown or the hospital. If his diagnosis and surgery was as reported, the he would be at home recovering. Even two weeks is a real extended hospital stay these days. Then send patients home while still ill, so recovery can continue at home. That is where home care nurses are needed.
