like recently? like now/today?

Like now. :)

The release notes states the firmware update resolves some issues with 3rd Gen Apple TV.

In the home app, I get lock not responding with the previous firmware and this firmware update. (I'm running iOS 10.1 beta 1, and think that maybe the issue.) Waiting for iOS 10.1 beta 2 to see if that fixes my lock not responding issue in iOS 10.1 home app.

Yes today. I am just about finnishing updating it. Must be large update. Said 17 minutes needed well it is almost done -- with a 7plus to boot, and it is taking almost 45 minutes ;-) We will see how it all works shortly

Yeah, I just saw the app update and Ecobee also pushed another update. I pray these updates will fix the problems of late.

Schlage just came out with a firmware update!

I haven't updated yet as it I'm not home

Anyone update yet? Wonder if it fixes the HomeKit issues?
Well I have tried twice (my lock works fine with the current firmware, iOS 10.1, and iPhone 7 Plus, and by default my iPad running the homekit home hub because my Apple tv 4th gen is not set to the double password security). Failed to upload the firmware twice so far so may not be able to report what it does.

Ok worked better on third try right by my iPad hub and WIFI router and it was 3-4 times faster I guess I just needed to be closer to the control of my home network. All updated and lock rebooted seems to be working just fine.
[doublepost=1475529245][/doublepost]Just got the App update also as mentioned 2.1 of iOS app. In all the lock, reading of info and interaction seems to be much smoother for me, so it appears some improvements for iOS 10 and such are indeed in this update but time will tell.

After my update the lock is now sending me push notifications every five minutes!
It won't stop, I had to disable notifications.

Not happening for me but the response on the app and such seem better to me -- quicker and without any issues...

For me all of a sudden the schlage app says cannot find lock. (Randomly) Although the home app finds the lock constantly. (I rebooted iPhone and Sense, doesn't seem to make a difference with the schlage app).

Anyone else notice this?

Quick question, i have an atv3 and im thinking about getting an atv4. With the atv4, are the HomeKit notifications sent to you even when you're not on Bluetooth or youre home wifi? With atv3, you can control the lock but the notifications only come when connected to Bluetooth or home wifi.

Thx

So far 4 hours after update all working just fine, no dropped connections in the Schlage app for me, or the home app.

Update:

Updated everything! Prior to updating the Schlage app I wasn't able to connect to my lock. Even after updating the app it still wasn't visible. I unplugged the batteries and then it showed up. Did the firmware update. Updated my iPad mini(hub) and everything works as did prior to the glitches. I get notifications about my lock via the home app. Which is fine and it works remotely.
I haven't tried to use my ATV3 as my hub. I kind of gave up on that and just left it to my iPad mini to be the hub as it doesn't leave the house.

I hope things stay functional and if anything things get faster/better as more updates are released via the Homekit app.

Depends on what you want to be notified about. The lock only connects via bluetooth, so a strong/clear connection from your ATV3/4 needs to be established. Homekit/Home app notifications are usually on as a default and will push a notification on your phone/ipad about the door being unlocked/locked and by what means(thumb/app). Again, the lock doesn't use wifi, just bluetooth to connect. So your hub ATV/iPad needs to be on all the time.

Yeah the Schlage app wasn't initially working for me. I think after unplugging the batteries on the lock re-established a firm connection to the app and I was able to do the firmware update.

But do you get notifications from anywhere or just when you're near the hub?

For me the update worked better and I never lost the connection so as to do the battery reboot method. I had to do that once a day after install but before the updates came yesterday. They as I have said seem to be a big improvement in responsiveness.

In terms of notifications when gone I was getting them via homekit even when on the older firmware and app away from home on my iPhone 7 plus and my apple watch. Like you I am using a iPad as hub not apple Tv so I suspect it is sending notifications via WIFI out via my iPad hub and to my iPhone and then watch which usually is connected by cell in most areas for me. Still works with update as well. The Schlage app also works and detects the changes when I run it remotely so it is connecting out thru my iPad hub via the homekit I setup from day one.

I get notifications even remotely. ie. not near the field of the Sense's BT connection or my ipad mini2(hub)
I confirmed this while walking my dog this morning as I have my Sense to lock automatically after 4 minutes. Even now at work when I check my Home app all my devices are connected and their status is available.

Same for me as per Fpb1980's comments, I get notifications remotely away from home out of Bluetooth range, out of town even. I can remotely unlock with Schlage app on my iPhone 7plus or the homekit/siri on apple watch or iphone. Have not set auto lock like Fpb1980 however my wife goes outside and shuts door she would not like even though she has the codes to get back in. I just remember to lock it which is old habit anyway ;-)

Had to power cycle the lock in order to start the update but the connection has been solid since yesterday!

Now if only my iSP5 plugs would stay connected!!

The last Schlage Sense app/firmware update fixed my iOS 10 woes, but the notifications are not reliable for me. Sometimes I get a locked/unlocked notifications 20 minutes later, or not at all. I setup a scene trigger to turn on the lights when I unlock the door, but it inexplicably stopped working. I have an Apple TV 3.

Anyone else notice notifications are unreliable?

Mine are unreliable with Apple TV 4 also, my trigger for unlocking the door and turning on the lights works intermittently. Running iOS 10.1 beta 2 and tvOS beta on Apple TV 4.

Hopefully they fix this.

i was getting notifications only when i was on a wifi network (home or away). I bought an atv 4 tonight and getting notifications without wifi or bluetooth but I have only been at home. I want to see how it acts over the weekend. If the same problems occur, I will stick with the atv 3.

Latest firmware. iOS 10. tvOS 10. 2 locks. Drops randomly as unreachable. Every few days renamed to Schlage and says not compatible. Have to remove in schlage app, hard reset, reinstall. Buys me a few days. Schlage needs to fix this. Ridiculous.

I'm using iOS 10.1 beta 5 and tvOS 10.01 beta, my lock gets unreachable but not as much as iOS 10.0.3 did. For me to fix the problem, I hard reboot my iPhone and unplug re plug in the schlage battery as per schlage. This fixes the unreachable lock without me resetting the lock up as a new lock.

Schlage is aware of this issue and a new firmware is coming in about a week.

If you're using the Apple TV 4 check the following:

1. Go to---> Settings/Accounts/iCloud
2. Make sure that under your iCloud account you see that Homekit is "Connected".

After the iOS 10 release if you don't have your house connected, the App loses the identities of the doors after a day or two. This happened to me. I had to log out and log back in. A few minutes after logging back in my house appeared as connected. Haven't had any issues since.

Other than this, I'm really happy with the Sense locks. I have HomeKit unlock all my doors at night automatically at 9pm so I'm never lying in bed wondering if I locked the doors.
