My phantom skinz clear did the same thing. The phantom skinz matte did not. I have had zagg, skinomi, various urethane shields and never experienced the issue until the phantom skinz. Not sure what caused it.

Would you guys say the general consensus for static crystal protectors would be power support? I'm truly sick of this skinomi so I'd like to make another purchase ASAP.

My comment on Power Support would be their lack of support.

While the items arrived to me ok, I fitted as carefully as possible the crystal clear film to my phone but was left with two bubbles would would not go away...
I emailed Power Support with detailed photo's and they never responded back to me...I at least expected a response from them.

Their shipping charges are also really high...

Having said that a static fit is the best option IMO...

I had a good experience. I messed up my install and I too had bubbles that would not go away. They sent me a new set on Dec 6th and got it today.

I like invisibleshield, so invisibleshield all the way! but only if you don't mind having a somewhat texture feel.

I've heard some good things about BestSkinsEver. Anyone have this or have any input on it?

I love BSE. I didn't see much love for them in this thread but I've used BSE for the past two years on my BB, my Shift, my Transformer, and now on my iPhone. Very happy, screen looks wonderful. Easy to apply, and great customer service.

Heif

Power Support Anti-Glare HD for me. Plus I have two Apple Stores within 30 miles of me so I don't need to get them shipped. I need the matte finish, otherwise I wouldn't even use a protector.

Also, I find they are pretty durable. I used to use SGP quite a bit, but they ALWAYS got scratched really easily. PS is really good with scratch resistance for me.

I find screen protector to be cumbersome. First and foremost the bubbling problem, it just doesn't go away easily, I have to try around 1 hours to make sure the wrap is perfect.

Waited for one day and I put it on the bumper and kaboom, the bubble's back!! So much for wasting an hour and trying to remove the bubbles. Second is scratches. I have it on my iPhone for one week and it already shows some scratches!! Now don't tell me "You're lucky because the protector works and leave the screen untouched" because I had my iPhone for 2 weeks since then with no screen protector, no single marks!!

I had an iPod Touch 4G before for around one year, and I carry it around quite much, no screen protector, just silicon case for the back (you know how it is).

And guess what .. no scratch at all on iPod's screen for as long as I had it. But the back was a different story.

Well I got the screen protector from SGP inside the package when I bought the skin guard for the iPhone's back.

Otherwise I wouldn't waste my time and money to look for one specifically.
It's simple for me, iPod Touch/iPhone screen is hard enough as it is, anything able to leave a scratch on the screen will surely tear the screen protector too.

So yeah, I wouldn't worry at all about the front, as long as you don't TRY HARD to scratch it of course. I protect iPhone back since it makes contacts with a lot of surfaces (table, glass, concrete or tile sometime) ..to me, it's reasonable to protect the back.

I will never leave one of my devices uncovered. You can get crystal clear covers that don't interrupt the touch screen/retina display at all. You gotta be crazy not to cover it up! If you're not using a case, AT LEAST get a screen protector and maybe a back skin. I use a full skin AND case.

I'm currently using the one supplied by Switcheasy with my Eclipse care and it seems good. I had the power support anti glare but I ended up not liking it. It takes away that glass look that, for me, is an essential part of the iPhone 4 aesthetic.

I've had three different brands on my 4, started with a Scosche crystal which was good, but I wanted to try SGP so I got a set of Oleophobics, which I didn't like at all, they rainbowed like crazy, scratched pretty easy, and after 2 weeks were damn near impossible to keep clean. Now I have a cheapy Helium Digital crystal and its working better than the SGP, barely attracts fingerprints, and no rainbowing.

Power Support is popular. Consensus is another matter entirely and there's probably no such thing. In any case, what's popular or general consensus is irrelevant. You need to find a screen protector that suits your preferences.

Having said that a static fit is the best option IMO...
Because...? Always qualify the word best. It helps others to determine if your reasoning jives with their own.

BSE/IS type protectors don't seem to be very popular around here.

Waited for one day and I put it on the bumper and kaboom, the bubble's back!!
If your case applies any pressure laterally against the edge of a screen protector then it can cause bubbling.

Second is scratches. I have it on my iPhone for one week and it already shows some scratches!!
Screen protectors are sacrificial parts. *Not all screen protectors scratch as easily as each other.

Now don't tell me "You're lucky because the protector works and leave the screen untouched" because I had my iPhone for 2 weeks since then with no screen protector, no single marks!!
Your anecdotal evidence doesn't prove what you think it does. The fact that you haven't scratched your screen in 2 weeks does not mean that the screen is unscratchable (it's not). It also doesn't mean that screen protectors don't work as intended despite your illogical assertion above.

If you don't see the point in using one then don't use one. It's a matter of personal preference. Some people find them useful. Some don't. I do. YMMV. Do whatever works for you.

You gotta be crazy not to cover it up!
No, you don't have to. It's a matter of personal preference no matter how strongly you feel about it.

Rainbowing? You sure you got authentic?

Using an otterbox and like the protector they provide. It's scratched now and I'd like to get a replacement lined up. However, I can't find any separate ones sold. I like the feel of this and wouldn't want to roll the dice with anything different. What would be comparable?

I used to use invisibleshield on my ihones, until I tried a $20 wrapsol ultra.
It is so much better than the invisible shield, it's not funny.
I have a brand new packaged invisibleshield for a 4, sitting here on my desk.
I will never use it, so PM me your info and I will send it to you for free. :)
