I'm seeing both options available. I wonder if this Spigen without the cutout will interfere with the front facing camera.

Many current glass screen protectors cover the front camera / sensors / etc in the notch... mine just has a small oval cut out for the speaker. Can't imagine it'll be much different for the 14 pto and there will just be a sliver of a notch cut out for the speaker on top

In what world is it okay for someone (zagg) to charge $50 for a screen protector? Am i just cheap or is that stupid lol. I'm looking for a nice privacy screen protector for a new 14 pro max. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No such thing as indestructible. I have never seen a phone that can’t be scratched. My wife’s phones always end up scratched just by sitting in her purse. My phones always end up with screen protectors from day one.

I don’t feel like phone manufacturers do their customers any favors by overselling the ability of their products to withstand breaks and scratches.

I agree that the latest iPhone screens are pretty durable. They still get microscratches though, which bug me. It's nice being able to swap out the tempered glass protectors every 6 months or so to get a fresh surface, especially at ~$4 each. I've had very good experiences with the ESR protectors that end up looking like they were made with the phone.

Do you know if and when Apple will be fitting the belkin screen protectors via there machine in shop?

It really surprised me though. I have dropped my phone so many times that it should have been broken by now. That ceramic class is game changer
Most people do not want scratches on their expensive smartphone whether it’s on the screen or chassis. By not using a screen protector, you will end up with micro scratches or worse. I have a number of durable Samsung Notes for work… the gorilla glass is thick and durable but there are very noticeable scratches on the panels and I have no idea how the damage occurred because I take care of my work devices and they’re placed in holders so they never end up rattling around in bags.

All my personal issue iPhones are scratch and chip free after 2+ years of use because I use cases and screen protectors.

Or maybe because they use ceramic glass. My iPhone 13 pro is without any scratch after being dropped a lot. The only protector I’m using is the translucent plastic that doesn’t cover the screen

I tried many in the past, the best that crossed my way is Torras, they offer a clear and a privacy version, they fit perfectly on all iPhones i had, and I'm very picky regarding this.

I don’t know what the reason is. I have always used screen protectors on my iPhones so have never had any scratches. I personally wouldn’t risk going screen protector free but I guess if you’re using a case, the chance of smashing your screen is minimal even without a screen protector.

CRAZY expensive. I use the Magbak protector now because they fit with the case on, but I’d second Torras. I buy protectors on Amazon and replace as needed for my family.

"Ceramic Shield" "scratches at a level 6 with deeper groves at a level 7" just like other glass.
A few granules of sand or dirt in the pockets will leave microscratches on the screen just like any other glass screen.

Ceramic Shield is "tougher", not harder.

I just get those cheap 3-packs on Amazon from random brands that are like $10 and come with the wipes and all that. I’ve never seen a reason to spend more.
