Question to the pros:. I still have unused screen protectors from Caudabe and Spigen, for my current iPhone 12 Pro. The Caudabe ones don't have the notch cutout. And their packaging does not mention the iPhone 12 Pro at all, only that it's "for iPhone 6.1" screens". Do you think they would fit the 14 Pro? Screen size is the same, after all (6.1").

I have screen protectors left over for my 12 pro as well. Don’t THINK they will work. Mine have small cut outs for the ear speaker and no small notch for the new speaker. I think they are a bit different.

So is the consensus that the iPhone 13 Pro Max tempered glass protectors align with earpiece cut out of the 14 pro max ?
I guess I won’t be getting a black bordered one this time as the bezels will cover 1mm of the screen. They were my favorite that never lifted after a few weeks of usage.

I think the 13 pro will work on the 14 pro but the 12 pro will not. I am not 100% sure though.

Thanks for the info - I guess I'll need to try out mine...

I usually use standard ESR glass protectors but have bought the ESR armorite for my 14 pro.

Apart from being harder glass and having a black edge, I assume so it looks like you don’t have a protector on, any other differences? Is it thicker? Easier to apply? Has the black edge interfered
With the screen at all on older models? Etc?

I've never used one since owning iPhones since the 3G, and never had an issue, however, that is probably because I always use a case that the whole phone slides into. It's 100% naked when being used, but covered when not so nothing can touch the screen.
That said, even I am tempted with a protector this time as will keep the phone at least 5 years.

I think a glass screen protector is a glass screen protector. So many claim 9H hardness but most aren’t. As long as it’s glass it’s going to feel like the screen. The one thing I look for is does it have a tray to make application easier. If you’re really good at putting on screen protectors you don’t need this but I do.

Mrwhosetheboss on YouTube did a video a while back testing a bunch of screen protectors from one dollar all the way up to I think $99. He found out they’re pretty much the same except the $99 one was more durable. Do you really want to spend $99 for a screen protector.

I’d rather pay an extras $99 and double the storage if that phone

Always getting 1 screwed up install do to dust. These screen protectors solve the dust and alignment issue.

[2+2 ] LK 2 Pack iPhone 14 Pro Max Screen Protector [Auto Dust-Elimination] + 2 Pack Camera Lens Protector, 9H Hardness Tempered Glass, Easy Installation, Ultra-Thin Anti-Scratch, 6.7-Inch https://a.co/9yVfFFR
Never seen the Auto Dust-Elimination feature, looks very interesting! I'll give this a go in the future since I already bought the amFilm tempered glass screen protector. 2 pack for $5! I think the deal is over though.

True or maybe buy a better case with part of that money. I’m really rough on phones because I’m a klutz and I find the case is where it really makes a difference. I don’t go cheap on the case. I’ve dropped my 13 PM multiple times on concrete from about waist high and it’s survived without any damage.

I’m always fighting with dust during install. Have you tested this? If anything this sounds like where I would pay a little bit extra if it works!

I've already got a pack of Spigen Align Master, I love them and prefer the black border to hide any possible edge imperfections, but....I get super stressed installing them as I have to get them on perfect with no dust or lint to be happy. I'm one who gets the shower going and hope the steam holds the dust in the air. Works most of the time.

Those with the dust elimination look like they may give me a stress free installation!
They haven't got the border I like but I've ordered some to give them a go and if it does what it says on the tin I think I may be happy. 🙂

Be careful with those camera protectors. With some cases they cause the camera lenses to stick out of the case. Instead of the impact being on the case it hits the camera lens and damages it. I’ve seen it happen in person. I think the OtterBox defender is a thick enough case so it won’t stick out but just make sure.

So if I order a belkin ultraglass now to pick up on launch with my new iPhone, can I still get apple to install it for me?

I just want to prepay everything on my Apple ID balance and don’t have to fluff around in store to pay when there’ll be mayhem and chaos on launch day.

I just received my 3 pack of iCarez Tempered Glass screen protectors for my iPhone 14 Pro Max from Amazon. These are edge to edge with no space for the notch or upper speaker. Wonder if that’s going to be a problem.

This is interesting. I received the Spigen protectors today and the notch at the top is there, but very slim. I normally go with icarez but I didn’t see them at the time. It looks like all of their protectors (3 diff styles I can see) don’t have a notch. If you look at the belkin protectors in the Apple store they look like the icarez with no notch.

I’d love to know how these worked and see a picture of the results if anyone gets them to try.
