Alignmaster has a plastic template you fit on the phone then this guides the protector whilst you attach it.
The EZ Fit has the protector already attached to a template that you place straight onto the phone.

Although the EZ Fit is easier to fit, I prefer the black border on the Alignmaster.
That said I've also got a different brand (LK) with no black border that works similar to the Belkin machines in the Apple stores.
You place phone in, close the lid and pull the backing film off. Supposed to eliminate the chance of dust & lint spoiling the installation. Hope it works and looks good as I get stressed sat with the shower going so the steam catches the dust in the air. Works most of the time.. Also comes with a couple of camera lens protectors which I doubt I'll use.

I also like the black border Type. They come with a very sticky adhesive yellow backing normally . Do you have a link ? I’m hoping they are not just 13 pro max units rebranded as 14 pro max as I wouldn’t want to lose 1mm pixels around the edges.

Amazon UK

They are 2mm wider than the 13 Pro Max ones so are not rebranded.
The 13 pro Max ones are compatible with the 14 Plus though.

I usually go with Belkin as my screen protector (Because I can have it applied at the Apple Store). I always get the Anti-Glare version, but I'm not seeing it listed on Apple's website (Only the glass version is)

Curious if anyone else uses these & if so, have you found it listed anywhere else? I'm wondering if its been discontinued...
I ordered the Belkin with my case checkout, it was weird that the package didn't call out "Pro Max". And it worried me that there is no cutoff. I'll keep reading this thread to glean, is a covered speaker/camera a hinderance (?). I also just ordered a spiegen (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B23LW7NV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) based on the feedback on the first 2 pages. Any thoughts appreciated.

Is this the right one for the 14 Pro?

The protector is ready to drop on as I peel the protective sticker off

Interesting. There is still potential for dust to get through but I will give this a try. Thanks.
If you think it’s perfectly clean you’re wrong. I’ve had bubles with these kind of installations.
I haven't..... And I've done this with my last three iPhones, my wife's last two and some work colleagues too haha!

Perfect install, first time, every time

Another perfect installation over here

Protective film removed from screen protector, face down so no dust can fall onto it. Protective film removed from iPhone and then the screen protector dropped staight on top

Any word if they are installing the ones with the machine in store? I went with a Spigen last year for my 13 pro max since Apple wasn’t installing because of quality control issues. It’s done a great job but it’s a finger print magnet.

I got the Spigen screen protector for my fiancée's 14 Pro. I've used nine ESR screen protectors for my 13 Pro Max and each one of them lifted in the same spot (adjacent to the power button). I've never had any issues with the Spigen screen protectors.

Wow, checkmate to Spigen for their EZ Fit system.

I’m sure we’ve all installed countless screen protectors. I liked when the protectors started coming out with the trays that go over the top of the phone that helped with alignment. The several trays that I’ve tried from different brands still allowed a bit of play so sometimes would require the protector to be taken off and realigned.

But this EZ Fit system didn’t allow any error at all. They may not be the only brand that has this system now and I think they’ve had it for a while but wow, I’m impressed and will only be buying these from now on.

I just installed Spigen GLAStR EZ FIT (Sensor Protect) on two 14PMs. Easiest screen protector install I've ever done and I've been installing screen protectors since the days of my Handspring Visor PDA. No dust under either phone's protector. Amazing. No black borders though.

ESR Armorite installed perfectly. I also removed my 12 month old Armorite from my 13 Pro. Bent it nearly in half and it didn’t crack.

The LK one with the dust free fitting box worked great. Still not 100% on no black border as you can see the edges, but it's staying on.
Ditto. Easiest, cleanest install ever, and a great video guide to help. I had the store-installed Belkin before, but this beats it all to pieces at 2 for $15, even if I replace it every 3 months. The fitting box really does make as easy as having someone else do it. Here’s the link for protectors for the 14 Pro: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5L8N5J4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I’m still on the fence with screen protectors… Do I need one idk.

My issue is knowing which is actually good quality. Do more expensive ones have better finger print resistance or affect the screen quality less?

Does it work with non spigen cases?

I’ve used the Spigen and Caudabe in the past. Went with the same Spigen this year… easy past install.

The black edges are nice, but I can live without them, too.

Yes. I'm using a Mujjo leather case. Almost exactly like the Apple brand leather case.

Yeah the black edges actually haven't been missed so far with this 14PM. I really like this sensor protect GLAStR EZ FIT.

We are going to try JEtech first as it includes a camera lens protector as well.

I’ve always had good results with Spigen, so went with Spigen again for the 14 Pro and Pro Max (wife’s phone and my phone). Install went great as usual with their alignment frame “technology”.

I installed the Spigen one and I have one bubble right next to where island is that I can’t get rid of. Rest of screen is perfect.

I got a Zagg and the cut out for the dynamic island has two separate holes and both are too low by about half a mm. Very annoying. Trying to find a support contact that isn’t just a general RMA replacement request.
