I second the positive opinion about ESR for U2. I don't like to install screen protectors on my watches, this is the first one I tried, and in my opinion Ultra or U2 really doesn't need any screen protectors, since any protector out there is not going to outperform the sapphire glass. Every screen "protector" will scratch way easier than a sapphire glass which is practically unscratchable unless it meets a diamond ring or another sapphire, then yes you may scratch it. I have many watches older and newer with sapphire glass and none of them has a mark on it.
With that said, Ultra has a raised lip around the glass, and that what scratches! Like I said I usually don't like screen protectors and rather have a scratch that is a personality rather than looking at a cheap ugly protector. However this ESR is really different! I have installed it recently and it's actually almost impossible to tell it's there, still completely original look of U2 Black and now I'm not worried scratching the bezel which gets hit the first if you happen to contact the watch with anything. After installing it literally next day I got a scratch on the bezel, and I remember hitting it to something and thinking "OUCH", but was so pleased that it was not the naked titanium bezel but a bezel protector that I can exchange easily! As a naysayer of screen prtectors I totally recommend ESR - not for glass protection but for the bezel protection which can be scratched. And it's almost impossible to tell that there is a protector on the watch, so the original look of the beautiful U2 remains! Here's a picture, and believe me it looks much better in reality than on the picture.
