I tried the 6s plus for a couple of weeks and it really is just to big for me. Putting it in my pocket was a nightmare it would stick out the top of my pocket. I also couldn't use it with one hand and nearly dropped it a few times. So went back to the 6s and now I'm happy fits in pocket perfectly and is just the right size for me. Also got a bit of lag on 6s plus don't know why? I no lag on my 6s.

For those of you who made the decision to choose the 6S above all other phones out there, regardless if you are coming from a smaller phone, the 6, or downsizing from a larger phone, how do you feel now? Are you still happy with your decision? Do you ever feel the phone is 'small' or that the screen is inadequate for any of your needs? I am talking screen size only. Not asking about feelings on battery life, lack of OIS, or non-1080p.

I've read many times from 6 Plus and 6S Plus users that the 4.7" seems small now. Some describe it as a 'toy' now in comparison and that is fine. I am not seeking opinions of the larger phones at this time. I am just curious if those who chose the 6S, for whatever reason, have now found any regrets regarding the smaller screen size. I appreciate anyone willing to share.
I had the plus, went with the 6 after a month.. To me, the size was worth it in the sense of battery and typing experience.. LOVED IT.

But for every day use, not at all. It wasn't comfortable in my pockets, 1 handed use, gym use, ect... I decided to pick comfort over function. You won't be noticing camera difference after a month. Trust me, it's one of those features you forget about unless you are taking pictures for a living. but your kids birthdays will still look the same! If you need a phone that can last all day, with all of apples features, then sure, its for you. But wasn't for me.

So, I have the 6s (on next contract) and 6s plus. When I recently purchased the plus (outright and contract free) from Apple, I noticed I had until early Jan to return. Bonus time to play with it. After using for a week or so exclusively
I pretty much had decided I preferred the 6s for all the reasons everyone does.
So the other day I go to pack up the 6s plus and notice it has a bit of a scrape/ding on the top. No idea how it happened as I am really careful with my gear. Well that pretty much stops my return to Apple, so now I'll sell on CL for less than I paid as I will have to leave off tax and another ding tax.
Such is life and I am fully aware I am at fault here. Lesson learned? Probably.
Until next time.......

I'm in the same club. I've decided to commit to the Plus this year, but now and then I start longing for that stealthy little 6 I unloaded on Swappa a number of years back.

When I had the 6, and I'd see a 6 Plus in the wild, I'd always say "oi, that thing is too big", but my inner voice was saying, "dang, that's awesome".

I'm also trying to commit to the Plus for good. The display is just so crisp and the battery life is much better than the 6S. I just wish my thumb was about a half inch longer lol.

Well, since starting this thread, I purchased a 6S Plus off of Swappa for a pretty good price given the last experience I had messing with the 6S+ had me thinking maybe, just maybe, I could get used to it after all.

I lasted less than 48 hours. You can see in the pics I posted earlier that the 6S is kind of small in my hands. But man, I can maneuver that thing like a ninja and I like that. So, I sold the 6S Plus on Swappa and after fees and shipping I took a $20 hit which is fine.

I have accepted that whenever I see the Plus in the wild, I will appreciate it and desire it. I just have to somehow, some way remind myself that the lust will turn to irritability and I will be right back in the same spot as always. I have seen a lot of people on here say that it is impossible to one-hand a 6S. I disagree whole heartedly (not everyone has the same sized hands). I have seen a lot say that it takes about a week or two to get used to the size but that it'll definitely happen. I disagree whole heatedly on that too (that it is a given you'll get used to it)

In the end, I think the 4.7" is just a bit too small. But I find the 5.5" overall size to be just excessive enough for me to not want to deal with it 24/7.

I have a regular 6 and will be getting the larger iPhone next time around. I'm hoping they shrink the bezels, plus size seems fine for me the bezels are just unnecessary.

My friend got a plus, and I just feel envy whenever I see it. Sometimes I feel like "At least my phone is easier to handle" but I don't think the plus seems that hard to deal with, and the pros far outweigh the cons in my opinion. I want the plus so bad I will be jailbreaking my 6 whenever a 9.2 jailbreak happens, I'll be using Upscale to enabled the landscape features.

I'm using my iPad less and less lately, and my iPhone more and more. Not even sure why, I'm just sick of dealing with two devices, even though they work together so well. I'd rather just have a larger phone now.

Since the very first iPhone, I have been that guy who always wanted to have the newest and thus best iPhone available the day of launch. That was a simple approach until the 6/6+. Last year was the first year that based on specs, I didn't have the best spec'd iPhone on the streets. But then I finally forced myself to realize that

a) despite the plus being 1080p, side by side I cannot discern a difference outside of size. The resolutions of the two phones appear absolutely identical to me.
b) despite the plus having OIS, I was never once able to recreate some of the videos that first came out making it appear like OIS was the be-all difference maker. I shot video hand in hand while walking, purposely shaking my hand, etc and the difference was at most, negligible. Wife was there, friends around, all agreed.
c) battery is better. I averaged 2-3 hours additional screen time on the S Plus vs 6s. I understand this is important to many, myself not being one. I work in an office, I am in my far an hour to and from work, etc. My phone is always within a charger's reach. The 7 hours screen time I average does me just fine.

So for me, the size of the screen is the only draw. The rest is a wash. I never allowed myself to get caught up in the spec hype between the iPhone and android phones so why start now? Love that big screen. But not at all times. So for me, smaller phone combined with my MacBook when needing a bigger screen works best.

I totally see what you're saying, but I have fairly average sized hands and the regular size still seems just slightly too big to be considered small. I think this is because of the way I hold my phone, not hand size. I like to hold the phone from the bottom with my pinky supporting underneath. This makes it a bit of a struggle to even reach past the fourth row of icons above the dock for me.

My thinking is, if I'm going to struggle with one handed use with the small iPhone, I may as well struggle more or less the same but reap all the benefits of the larger device. Go big or go home in this situation for me ;) I am almost tempted to use a family member's old iPhone 5 for my daily device at times, I just love the beautiful design, the lack of slipperiness, and the slate black color. The compactness feels annoying but awesome at the same time, so quick and easy to use where my iPhone 6 gives more issues yet isn't even that much bigger.

Oh man, that's EXACTLY my story. I had and loved the 6. Said I'd never commit to the phablet Plus model. When I got the 6 I had originally ordered the 6 Plus but went back to the Verizon store repeatedly to fondle both models. In doing so I decided the Plus was still too big for me and I changed my order to the regular 6. I was thrilled with my decision, and I fully intended to either wait for the iPhone 7 to upgrade or maybe jump on the regular 6s if the changes were significant enough. And then that darn voice started calling to me. "C'mon, you're a man's man! And there is OIS on the Plus-series cameras!! You know you want it, and you can handle it. BE A MAN!! Sack up and get the Plus!" What could I do? I had no choice but to jump up to the 6s Plus, and I'm happy I did.

I didn't select my iPhone 6+ over the rest, but as an additional phone. The ideal size for me is the very spacious 6.0" Nexus 6.

I like some features of the iPhone and enjoy it on a limited use bases. It's the smallest model I'll ever buy.

I totally get what you are saying. I use the same style pinky cradle grip. On the 6S, my thumb reaches into the upper left bezel so I can hit every angle with ease. But on the plus? I cannot reach the upper left corner of the screen where many of the back buttons, return to previous app links, etc are stored. If I couldn't use the 6S in the manner I can, I'd go 6S Plus as well. It'd make sense to.

Yes sir. Our stories are similar. I'm a guitar player and I recently had a similar conversation with myself about guitar strings. Two common gauges/thickness are "lights" and "mediums". Lights are generally easier to play but lack a little body. Mediums require more effort and strength but repay that extra effort with bold full tone. I went back and forth and finally told myself to man up and stick with the "medium" strings and I'm glad I did.

The Plus is a pain in the arse, yet rewarding. It's big, unique, and extraordinary. It's the girlfriend that you love being with because she's a wild party girl, yet never tones it down, even when you're just going to Target to buy a birthday card for your mom. So when you want her to just chill, she's incapable of doing so. Everything is big and bold with no apology. People will look and stare, but you know they are just jealous.
disclaimer->(*not saying any satisfied 6/6s user is in the least bit jealous, it's just a parallel for humor's sake). <-disclaimer

Hi friend! I am once again on the 4.7 and most of the time I really do like it. But it seems every time I walk the halls at work and see plus' lying on the tables, I get envious. It has been an absolute inner battle for me ever since the two sizes were announced. My issue is purely size. Not OIS, battery, or 1080p. Most of the time I am completely content on the 4.7 but other times I would love that 5.5" screen. Even with my hands (the size of a catchers mitt) I still find whipping around the smaller of the two to be much easier.

I think we're both feeling the same way! I currently own both the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, but I need to sell one of them. toughest decision ever (when its come to picking devices of course). I love how portable the 6s is, I barely notice it in my pocket, but then when I take it out and I see my co-workers pull their iPhone plus out I'm feel so envious, too. I love the screen size, and battery life. The only thing that keeps me from keeping the 6s plus is how it feels in my pocket. Most people say they can't even tell its in my pocket, but when I'm walking I feel too self conscious about it. I also love the silver iPhones, but I don't think it looks as nice on the iPhone 6s Plus. I keep switching back and forth and can't make up my mind :(

Here's the kicker....I have the Apple Watch and as it only syncs to one phone at a time (have to unpair when changing phones & the whole thing takes an age to resync with the other phone) I have been only using the iPhone 6s Plus for now. If I could just grab one phone or the other (pop in sim) it would be great and I'd put up with the extra cost of having two phones. The whole bloody thing is making me resent the Apple Watch. Which I had loved.
Arrgh, I need help!....mental help. God, I kinda hate myself a little for all this nonsense.
You finner 18 are not included in this crazy situ. You are my sane twin :).

hahah reading this post makes me laugh and feel better about myself. It feels good to know I'm not the only one feeling this way and owing both the 6s and 6s Plus. My wife thinks I'm crazy and I should keep one, but she just doesn't understand the struggle hahaha. I'm having the same issue with my Apple watch, it's always linked to my 6s plus so it is indeed annoying having to switch back and forth. I still feel like I don't know what I'm gonna do, I don't know which one to keep!

Me too. I can totally tell the difference between the screens. Don't get me wrong. It's not as if one is good and the other bad, the Plus is just noticeably better. It's also one of the main reasons I switched to the Plus this year.

I have a 6S+. I think the 4.7 is probably the most comfortable size for me. If and when I get a 7 or 7S, going back to normal size more than likely. Do love the battery life though.

I got the 6S+ this weekend after being an iPhone 6 user most of this year, the gradual increase in all the iPhone models has gone down very well for me. (3.5" - 4" - 4.7" - 5.5")

You guys got it easy with this thread I'm on the front lines with Finner I know the struggle every day LOL as we talk on iMessage I've been trying to counsel him since last year I should be getting paid or something.

What's funny is I was vehemently against the plus last year and Finner was for it but the complete opposite thing happened he preordered the 6 and I the 6 Plus after about four days of using I returned it for the 6 and couldn't have been happier but a month before the 6S/Plus release I switched to T-Mobile and got the plus and after a couple days of use I regretted not keeping it originally last year. Now I'm a happy content owner of a 6S Plus. Now my only struggle is being tempted by the Nexus 6P LOL.

I had a 6 plus for 4 months, and the 6 for about 8 months . Found the 6 to be too small for media/ browsing so went 6s plus this time wouldnt go back

Had a 4.7 and now have the 5.56S plus. I would crawl over broken glass to have a 5-5.2 inch screen, in IOS only, with an LG type form factor.( minimum top and chin bezels). I would and have switched to Android phones in that size, but I always come back to IOS.

You would think given the differences in PPI that I would be able to as well. I know others have said the same as the both of you and I don't doubt it for a second. But for some reason, I cannot tell. And believe me, I tried. I put those two phones through the gamut of tests because to be honest, I was searching for reasons to almost make myself prefer the plus despite the form factor. I guess this indecisiveness crap will never end for me lol.
