And crap in comparison. Notes Plus is way better, IMO. Wasted money trying Notability and a whole slew of them.
And for me, how do I stop the little window popping up at the bottom when I'm writing?
It lets me write for a little while, like 1/2 a line and then the window pops up?

My (naturally very small) handwriting comes out kind of strange in notes+

The choice would be much easier if one app had all the strengths. I too find Notes+ a bit slow/sticky - the perceptible delay is exactly what I got the iPp to avoid. I don't like how Notability files stuff but it's writing engine suits me better.

I'm undecided.

Noteshelf is weird too, it seems to have some sort of acceleration so your pen strokes can end up nowhere near the pencil if you write/draw quickly.

I agree with a couple of people here Notability is too basic but the simplicity of it is its advantage on the other hand I think Notesplus with so many of features is too much features (which can sometimes be confusing) cramped into it. I guess Different strokes for different people.

Does notes plus scroll down like Notability?

Also does notability have the ability to auto-straighten shapes?

I've seen on good reader they have a cool tool for automatically perfecting your drawn shapes which is very cool. However I hate good reader's navigation.

This is what I mean. At first it wasn't happening (read screenshot) but then the window pops up?

There is an icon/tool at the top that enables or disables this "annoyance." You want to see the icon showing a hand with a pen, and not just the hand. See below...

But if you switch to the "pen" mode, you cannot scroll or zoom the page! So, you would have to constantly switch back and forth between pen and hand mode. This shows me NotesPlus is not completely updated for the Apple Pencil, which allows distinguishing pen and finger input.

No, the solution is to go into settings and switch off the tap and hold for zoom mode.

Yeah notes plus I checked out today. Feature rich but did not feel very refined compared to notability

You have to edit before you insert. Notes Plus doesn't offer any editing capabilities.

That's too bad. With Notability, you can crop the photo and any inking done "over the image" moves with the image. It appears that with Notes Plus, if you ink over an image, then move the image, the inking stays in place and doesn't move with it.

So much for "Notes Plus does so much more than Notability..."

Been using Notes Plus all week but I'm sorry, I just don't like it. I find Notability much better to use. Writing on Notes Plus is laggy compared to Notability. Notability is easier to navigate, easier to set up and looks better. That's what I think anyway.

What notes app is best for keeping your notes in sync on all devices( mac, ipad, iphone) so it has clients for all of those?

Most of those discussed here do. OneNote and Evernote are probably most complete across platforms.

Yeah, I've been trying out Microsoft's OneNote. I have it installed on my 9.7 iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, my iMac at home, and on my PC at work. I've added the MS OneDrive app to each of those devices (works like DropBox) and store the OneNote notebook files there. All the notebooks are in sync across all the devices and is working well so far. Best parts are that the apps are quite powerful, and they are all free.

Actually I think that these are the only ones with PC clients as well as Mac, and then there's Notability, which has clients for all the Apple products.

Tried Notes Plus again tonight. Still cutting out and missing letters. I just wish you could get a refund on iTunes purchases.

Screenshot I took of some notes on my iPP today. I have been studying for my A+ re-certification.
Notability is still my go to notetaking app and have logged nearly 300 pages of notes since I converted to solely iPP writing in April.

Theres no Way these are real notes above no one has the time to be this meticulous. these are either study notes done after the lecture or some kind of Demo notes done by professionals. I use to just drop off my digital voice recorder at the front of the class and listen and re-listen to the lectures.

So they're imaginary?
