Exactly NOTHING PRACTICAL!

Right...

Over the last couple of years i've made calls, texted, web browsed, gamed, youtubed, watched videos, facebooked, twittered, used pages, emailed, checked the weather, tracked my health, tuned my guitar, read books, wad the news, used the calculator, used the calendar, taken a lot of photos and video, navigated with maps, used public transport apps to death, written lists in notes, had check lists in reminders, facetimed, used ebay, gumtree, participated on forums , listened to music, synced with my cycle computer, used pacifica my relaxation app and the list goes on. All on a mix of 3.5 and 4 inch screens, all very practical all worked well and all one handed in compact designs that have appealed to me.

Simple: to appeal to those who don't want the SE but don't want to spend the money to get the 6S, either. Widen the number of sweet spots you appeal to and you increase sales.

Another sweat spot is for Android switchers who don't want to pay the full price for a 6S and for them the SE may be too small.

That's what humors me the most these days. Every single one of us iphone users use to use a 3.5 and 4 inch phone to do all our daily tasks and we loved it. Now, all of a sudden, a 4 inch screen is like made out of battery acid. Apparently, it's just ludicrous to think that someone could use a 4 inch screen in 2016... which is ridiculous lol.

Personally, I think it's just human psychology. The 6s and 6s plus are more expensive. More expensive=more self worth. Therefore, it's imperative to denigrate the SE so as not to feel like they've wasted their time and money.

Come on now - if we see an iPhone 3.5" SE model you would see that 3.5" display model destroy the current iPhone SE. This isn't even fair! What's the point of all that jelly with no toast? The screen is just way too small to do anything practical.
Millions upon millions of people used phones with that screen and smaller for years and years to do all kinds of practical things.

Upgraded my 5S to the SE this morning. Walked into the store and did the iCloud restore them ran some benchmarks before I left...

Its clear now: The iPhone 6 is as good as dead  specs wise... Those who wants big screens will go for the 6s line, those who wants compact phone with high end specs will go for the SE

Anyone who is in market for the iPhone 6 from now on

This is mine on an iPhone 6S. Slightly better than the 5SE

Edited: Ran again with the new 9.3.1 and it was higher for the single core and lower for the Multi core. Waited a bit and ran again. Different results. I don't put too much faith in these benchmarks at all. If it works well for my needs, good.

The best performing iPhone in a couple of different ways, yet will still be called the "budget iPhone" by the insecure 6S-Plus crew.

The SE is going to be a great phone.

It's a cool phone. I have a 6S plus. I'm almost debating. I really want an ipad pro. If I can sell my 6S plus for a price I'm good with. I may go forward with this.

Who really cares anyway ?

Yep, I only pay attention them to check that the hardware is working as it should: relative to other SE phones.

I run geekbench and antutu a few times when I first get a new device to verify this then move on. The scores vary anyway (e.g. Antutu came out 122k then 128k for me - probably as I was restoring first time but whatever).

Real world use is all that matters and the SE is a very capable compact.

DetroitBORG's review has more comparative benchmarks,

The battery numbers are pretty surprising, even vs. the big 6S+!

As shown below, the iPhone 6s geek bench is lower than the 5SE, but my two tests show the 6s is better. So people, what do you get from this ? Nothing more than useless geekbench tests for fanatics that love to compare, and argue.
