as well as a testament to never reference SGS2 in your question - even if you own a MacBook Pro, iPad 2, iPhone 4S, & Apple TV. If you smell like anything but an Apple store - the posters set their lasers to kill.

To be fair, I don't think that had anything to do with the overall sentiment of people in this thread, or at least I didn't read it that way.

Believe what you want, I am done trying to explain it to you as you clearly DON'T get it and don't want to listen.

As for being nice, you were the one that started being rude to people in this thread first. Have a nice day and I hope you find a solution to your issues (although I doubt you will).

I just DID THIS from my goddamn iPhone. The iPhone ONLY USES text-MMS for group messages. Your iPhone. My iPhone. It's a fact. Many other phones do it for long single texts too. I don't understand.. Like... Why are you immune to facts?

Now I am confused. Sarcasm can be tough to read, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt, but is this seriously a more viable option for you than just dealing with splits texts?

No sarcasm at all. This isn't ideal. But it's a text message. It's not "go email them" which is about as helpful as "why don't you just drive over their house."

also - solution / workaround. whatever. semantics. it was an excited utterance because I finally got some advice that wasnt akin to "well why don't you just call them?"

Just number your text like (1) before you start typing then (2) my old palm phone did this for me in case they were out of order

This makes no sense.... You did this from your iPhone and then say that the iPhone can't? Which is it?

You are making no sense and I am finding it highly amusing that you are getting all upset about it. :D

Just checked my Windows phone and two androids. Neither can send an MMS without taking a photo or some crap like that. One was AT&T and the other Verizon.

Tell your buddy to buy a new phone and your problem will be resolved. Clearly it is his phone that can't handle reorganizing a series of text messages.

You obviously have not read my posts in full.....

You probably should do that before you post...

It will save you embarrassment...

Time to back track for you buddy....

EDIT: I'll save you the time since reading in full obviously isn't your thing. As I found out from google, information I was hoping to find in this thread instead of .. well.. you, the iPhone sends text MMS as long as you start it as a group conversation. (I've said this in at least two posts of mine already, maybe 3). Address to recipient and address to yourself - phone immediately changes it to MMS. that's right. the elusive white-spotted text-only MMS. extremely rare, difficult to hunt, found only in the outback.

crack me up dude. you really do.

No back tracking needed, I simply read your rant that you responded to me. It made no sense and I responded accordingly.

Have a nice day. I hope e-mail or a new phone for your buddy works out for you.

I rest my case. You've no respect for facts, or reading in entirety. Do a google search on iPhone group MMS.

"Rather, sending a group message on iOS 4 sends it as a single MMS to many people; even if you are only sending a plain text message."

^ fascinating. facts. o0ooo0h. AaaaAahh.

I believe the term is "pwnd".

So send all of your texts via group from now on. I think that if you also read it states that the carrier is the one that allowed this....

LOL "pwnd" is correct.

So you still have a few choices.

1. Tell your buddy to get a new phone.
2. Send an e-mail.
3. Take a pic and send your long text.
4. Send a group text (the only way that a carrier will allow a text only message via MMS).

For the record. I never once stated it couldn't be done. Of course the tech is there and it can be done. What I did say was that...

1. You are being a tool is this thread.
2. The carrier decides this not the handset maker.
3. You still make me laugh at getting all upset which shows me just how mature you are.

Enjoy! :D
