As for the AirPods Max, Apple is not expected to be working on a second-generation model of the over-ear headphones that launched in December 2020. Instead, Apple is thought to be working on new color options. Today, Gurman said that the new colors are still being worked on but stopped short of offering a timeline for when they could launch.
I just wish they'd follow through on the modular design and allow custom color combos. It's been pretty well established at this point that the cups can be popped off with a SIM tool, and the earpads are already incredibly easy to change out. Would be fun to be able to pick the headband, earcup and earpad color separately.

I am really looking forward to these. Just hope my 2-year-old AirPods Pro can last until they do. Battery life is bad and they squeak, pop and fizz every time I adjust them in my ears. Hopefully gen 2 will last longer.

Here's me just hoping my current ones last until then. My first gen took a trip through the wash about a month before the Pros came out. Having to use my wired EarPods that month reminded me how nice we have it with truly wireless headphones.

My APP I would probably upgrade to this fall. A max.....too rich for my blood, amazing though they might be.
I’ve tested them ear to ear with my APP. The sound quality is almost the same. My personal feeling is that in most cases the APP delivered better sound reproduction than the APM. The ACM is something completely different with the APM of course. Value for money is better with APP for sure

I own both the Momentum TW and TW2 and agree that the sound quality is way better on these than the AirPods Pro. I also owned the Momentum 3 and now own the Max. The Momentum 3s was a real disappointment to me (previously owned the M2s). I think the APM are waaay better.
That’s really strange, because we seem to have similar opinion about earbud type headphones but different opinions about overhead headphones..

To my ears Momentum 3 are the best sounding wireless headphones to date, and I bought and tested all heavy hitters:Bose QC35,B&O,B&W,Sony XM3,XM4 and more.for me they’re definitely superior to Momentum 2 that I previously owned.

I only demoed Airpods Max briefly and didn’t really like the neutral tuning, the Monemtum 3 sound much more engaging without being muddy like Sony XM3/4.
I think it’s can be subjective too.

sound quality aside ,one thing that really puts me off about AirPods Max is the design and the way they look.I really don’t like that design!

Am I the only one who loved the first design? I mean it's pretty comfy to control the airpods 1 by grabing them by their tails.

Pros got i shorted but okay, and now it would be without?

"Make it simple" haha, make them even smaller so their battery will end up in a year..

I would much more appreciate if they had tails like first geration just FULL OF BATTERY.

But i guess Tim cook got different plans with my UX

To me the M3’s have such a scooped midrange it is painful to listen to. They have a superior soundstage to the M2’s and a bit higher resolution in the top end, but how these are EQ’ed is a dealbreaker for me. I expect more from Sennheiser who definitely know how to make good sounding cans.

I use HD650’s in my home studio and while I appreciate that these are both totally impractical and probably a bit too analytic sounding to be used as a “consumer” headphone it only shows how far away they M3’s are from what Sennheiser have proven to be able to do.

My opinion though :)

For full sized wireless, the Momentum 3's are my favourite.they have amazing bass but not muddy bass like some Sony's (XM3/XM4) it depends what music you use them for too..I use the Momentums for more casual listening when I want good bass.

but for more "critical" listening I use my wired Beyer Dynamic DT990 Pro 250OHM with iFi AMC/DAC.these truely are amazing headphones.

and for more compact/discreet case scenarios when I prefer earbuds with ANC,I use the Bose QuiteComfort earbuds.these ands down have the best ANC,very good sound quality and equally as comfortable as AirPods Pro.

these 3 sets for me are the bests.
I bought and compared countless headphones.so I'm finally settled and very happy with these.?

I don’t like the fact that those buds are disposable. As the battery life span runs out, they end up in the ?.
I bought my AirPods 2 at launch in 2019 and I've used the HELL out of them every single day, and I'm still getting a couple hours of battery life out of them. I'm looking to upgrade them soon, but battery life has been great. Especially since I bought the 2s at launch, all I heard about AirPods was after a year or so the batteries didnt last so long anymore etc.
