I got the iPad Pro 12.9 inch when it was released, and as soon as I could get the Pencil I did. I was excited about it.

I think it has been more than a year since I used the Pencil. I'm not saying it's not a great piece of kit, but I overestimated my likelihood of using it. The iPad Pro itself has been a great tablet for me.

It's kind of like all the PDAs I bought, thinking I could get my life organized with them, only to end up with a drawer full of PDAs. It wasn't until the iPhone that the PDA concept finally worked for me.

I had a lot of disposable income, so I don't really regret all the purchases. If I hadn't bought those, I'd have spent the money on something else. (I also saved and invested enough to retire early.) Now that I'm retired I expect to buy fewer toys when I don't know exactly how they will work for me.

Selling it?

After seeing that one patent from a while ago, I'm mostly hoping they finally add compatibility with the new MBP trackpads. The larger surface area would really lend itself to the Apple Pencil and it would definitely convince me to buy one on release day.
yes i think that was the idea for those larger trackpads...to add input for the pencil

I really like the feel of the Pencil, but would welcome an eraser on the back. I've seen a lot of criticism of the charging through the iPad's lightning port, but I haven't heard a more elegant alternative. I'd like to see Adobe step up and really port Photoshop over to the iPad. It has the power so I don't think we have to still do Photoshop light

No problem with the lighting charging, but it would be cool if the next smart covers offer a "pocket" in which you safely place the pen, maybe charging.

I heard that it's going to be like a real pencil in that there is a limited supply of 'led', once that supply is gone you will have to subscribe for monthly refills.

Tied to the ipad, so basically garbage. My canvas at 2.5lb i can do corrections on AdobeCC and sketch comps all in one. Apple just needs to make an actual pro tablet.

Let me guess... thinner, shorter battery life, price bump, now available in jet black.

Before you post next time, maybe ask yourself if it truly adds anything to the discussion.

Thank you, powers-that-be. Apple engineers should be commended for making a Pencil that sucks and blows at the same time. Please steal the Microsoft Surface pen and we'll all be happy clams.

Most reviewers tend to say the Apple Pencil beats the Surface Pen when it comes to the important stuff: pressure sensitivity and fine detail work and palm rejection.

Do you like Apples? Do you like Pencils? Do you like Apples and Pencils? Do you like Apples and Pencils twofold? Great!

In that case, you'll like the Apple Pencil v2.

It's a Pencil made by Apple. Twice..

Beat THAT Samsung!

I haven't used the Surface pen for an extended period of time, but I tried it out at a Microsoft Store and came away unimpressed when compared to the Apple Pencil/iPad Pro combination. I think the Apple Pencil is one of the best products Apple has produced in a long time. Upgrades will be welcome.

...including new antenna technology and a magnet that would allow the Apple Pencil to attach to an iPad's body when not in use, so it will easily fall off and get lost, forcing you to buy a new one again and again.

:)

I was just about to buy an iPad Pro 12" today, but it really seems like there will be an event in march for new iPads.

I hope they won't replace the 12" for a 10,5" iPad, I actually like the size of the big iPad Pro.

Cool, I like the Apple Pencil, if they can make it better, props.

Maybe if the could make charging port female, that could be great. The fact the port is male, every time I charge on my iPad I have the fear it can break easily on an accident. They have to figure out a more elegant way there.

Maybe Apple can make a transgender pencil. Push on the male portion, and it retracts into the body, creating a female connector. They can call it the AC/DC edition.

I hope they get rid of its lightning port, and instead of that, they add an eraser... as for charging, i hope they ship it with dock that can be placed on the desk, and when pencil goes in it, it charges, like AirPods
Or better yet make it charge FROM the Airpods and they can also act as a holder for it.
