Make it look more like an actual watch and I will buy one. They're just downright ugly. Minor form factor changes aren't enough.

Why does it have to look like an actual watch and why is it ugly? Tell me what does an actual watch look like? Round, square, digital, analog? What are minor changes that would not change your mind? So, a complete over haul of the Watch will change your mind then?

It's huge? You feel a 42 MM Watch is huge?Have you ever seen an Invicta or Omega, those are big. And the dome housing the heart rate sensors is not nearly as large or cumbersome as your making it sound. Your the first I have ever heard say the sensor dome is huge. The sensor dome causes you pain? Maybe this needs to be said, but the Apple Watch may not be for you by the rate of your complaints.

And the speed/performance will be addressed with Watch OS3 and an the S2 Chip. It has progressively improved with software updates.
Nothing wrong with a 42mm face. I'm talking about thickness, hence my second request. The thing is, I really liked my Apple Watch and miss it a lot. I really hope there is a version with no dome someday.

Of course because that's all Apple does now a days. I've not really noticed or cared about my apple watch's thickness, so I'd rather see better features

You're perhaps being a little unfair on Apple to say that all they do is make things thinner, but I agree that it can seem that way these days.

That said, I would certainly want a much thinner watch than the current one. 5mm thick would be perfect.

Yes, but what about all the people that want a bigger battery, cellular, a FaceTime camera, GPS, better bluetooth radio, 802.11AC, better blood meters.....

This isn't the iPhone...you can't add more features AND make it thinner; there simply isn't enough real estate. At least not yet ;)

And, yes, I'd be delighted if it was half the thickness it is now (I wouldn't knock it on as many doorjambs as I do today), but I'd really rather see it more feature rich and robust first.

I know some content like text and photos wouldn't display as well in a circular display, but the prettiness is worth the compromise IMO.

Precisely. A watch is a fashion item, even if it's a smart watch -- features should be at a lower priority than design. Or at least give a choice.

I think it was a really bad marketing decision that Apple has made that they limited :apple: Watch to the rectangular face.

It's still surprising how many people don't understand the fashion role that wristwatches play in many users' lives.

Chief among them Apple. Bands aren't enough. The Watch is a nice design, but it's not for everybody. Yes it's a smart device, but it's also one the customer wears on their wrist. They want choice. It's hard to believe Apple isn't stepping up to the plate and giving them more than some color options and some band variations.

For the love of God, please do not include a FaceTime camera. I doubt a camera would be used nearly as much as people think it would, and I'd like it to have more battery capacity.

With Version 2 coming,Watch OS3, and hardware upgrades, I will purchase Watch 2 on day one. I think it will do really well.
I was right up there with you, but I think I'm going to wait for the second batch. I've seen enough issues with first shipment technology.

The first Gen Watch is still a solid Watch. Mainly it's needs speed, which has progressively improved with software updates. otherwise, I have had zero issues. I have the stainless steel model and it's sharp looking.

Features sell products. Apple customers like selfies. Apple caters to the selfie crowd. Like it or not, a FaceTime camera will sell. I personally would like the ability to snap a quick picture of something with the watch, without having to fish my iPhone out of my pocket.

Whatever Apple adds, the battery life will not be reduced, but it might not go up significantly either. Then again, Apple manages to add features and increase battery life on the iPhone every year. Who knows what they'll be able to do with the watch.

Apple is planning to unveil the second-generation Apple Watch in September or October, according to a new report from DigiTimes citing supply chain sources in a wider piece on weakening demand for tablets and wearables.

Component makers and Apple suppliers are said to be seeing "rather conservative orders" for the new Apple Watch despite its upcoming release date, information that directly conflicts with a June DigiTimes report that pointed towards "higher-than-expected" orders. Given the confusion over the second-generation Apple Watch in the supply chain, DigiTimes' information does not offer a clear picture of the demand Apple expects to see for the device.

Rumors suggest the second-generation Apple Watch will see under-the-hood spec improvements and perhaps some minor form factor tweaks, but major changes to the device are not expected to be unveiled this year. Improved battery life, a faster processor, and built-in cellular capabilities are all features we could see in a new Apple Watch.

While we can't glean anything about supply from DigiTimes, the September or October timeframe is in line with past rumors. Previous information suggests Apple is perhaps planning to unveil a new Apple Watch alongside new iPhones, and new iPhone models are typically announced in September.

According to a recent rumor, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be released on Friday, September 16, and if that's the correct launch date for the iPhone 7, we can likely expect to see the Apple Watch released on the same day. With a September 16 launch date, an unveiling event could potentially take place during the week of September 5th.

[doublepost=1469799356][/doublepost]Just wanted to say these two sentences sound the opposite of each other "Rumors suggest the second-generation Apple Watch will see under-the-hood spec improvements and perhaps some minor form factor tweaks, but major changes to the device are not expected to be unveiled this year. Improved battery life, a faster processor, and built-in cellular capabilities are all features we could see in a new Apple Watch." No major changes and yet built-in cellular which would be a large change - the un-tethering of the watch to the iPhone right?

[doublepost=1470362582][/doublepost]Y'all...
I just purchased my new iPhone 8 Plus-or-Minus, along with my  9.7" Watch Pro 3.
And the best thing about it was that I didn't have to wait in line.
Disclaimer: I'm an  user and proud of it!
I also have the Watch and it lasts me about a day and a ½ before charging. Plus it charges pretty quick.
I'd like to see GPS as well.
