Can't speak for anyone else but what I want is for Apple to fix my watch if it gets fried in the shower. Not for them to tell me "Yeah, it's waterproof but we told you not to do that" and be stuck with a $300 paperweight.

The Apple Watch is water resistant, not Water Proof. Tim Cook said when the Watch was released, he showered with his on. It can get wet, but I would not submerge the Watch. Even though, some swim with theirs and have had zero issues. I still would not recommend it.

Yay, another product that will probably have a $130 premium just for the cellular radio.

And I don't have a problem with that. It's no different than adding a cellular radio to the iPad. For those who want that functionality, it's worth the price, so long as Apple offers an option without.

Apple can keep the cellular and add in a camera...

I fully expect to see the camera at some point. I was sure we'd see it in the 2nd gen, but based on the rumors, it might wait until they increase efficiency of internal components. But it's coming. The selfie market alone demands it!

Let's see.... Predictions as the norm for any Apple Product:

Can we get less predictable predictions on coming changes to company products?

AW2 FIRES SUPER LASERS THAT CAN MELT THROUGH STEEL AND HAS TWO DAY BATTERY LIFE, POTENTIALLY BANNED FROM STATE PROPERTY AS A WEAPON SOURCES TELL US

Is this better?

Agreed with the price point and the bands are completely incognito with Apple's. I too own a few third party, but I mainly have authentic.

The downside to these cheap bands is the material, quality control standards are dismal, being the material is thinner, the lugs are not always flush with the watch adapter, sometimes the lugs also have side to side play, which we all know the end result if they are not secured properly.

Even though Apple makes a large profit margin off their sport bands, if I recall correctly, they make almost $42.00 per Watch Band (Not exact) according to Craig Federigi, with the packaging and shipping not included. Their is a significance difference in quality and I prefer authentic, to which leads to Apple standing behind their product and will resolve the issue if their is one, and yes, even their hardware have issues, but I know what I am purchasing more Than a Watch band, it's a Company standard in protecting my $1,000 investment.

You may do as you like of course, but I have three of these bands, they are all fine, and I would not have recommended them if they were flimsy or poorly made or insecure. They do nothing to endanger my investment. I actually wear them far more than the Milanese Loop I bought with the watch. You probably would not know that they are not OEM sport bands unless I told you. You can see from the comments on Amazon that the vast majority of buyers found them to be entirely satisfactory. This isn't necessarily the case with all the third-party and knockoff bands, but it is for this one.

And the these third party manufacturers are becoming better and more improved, no doubt. I have at least 17 bands and I own mostly authentic, but my third party bands have been great. I think early on there were some production issues, but seem to be improving.

Sorry folks but ZERO chance of apple watch 2g as watchOS "3" to quote apple HQ is.....: "like a whole new watch"
ALSO, "the apple watch is our most personal product yet" Jonny Quote.....meaning refresh every TWO years to avoid unhappy previous customers.
ps
I love my apple watch sport, feel naked without it!

Just did a mockup to imagine what it would look like:

Do want!

I know some content like text and photos wouldn't display as well in a circular display, but the prettiness is worth the compromise IMO.

I might do mockups of the stainless steel version and other bands when I have time.

I heard some complains about that too but it is a matter of adjusting the UI to accommodate certain functions. Who's gonna watch pics or a lot of text in a watch? Android has a circular watch and the UI works. Unfortunately it's not an Apple Watch.

This is proof that the AW is a flop!! Just kill it already Apple!!!

And the validity of your posts is nothing more than Apple bashing and nonsense. I encourage any other User to read 'ThaRuler's' posts. He makes this remark for almost every article regarding the Apple Watch. There is no value or concrete facts to support your claim.

Sorry but when it comes to the Apple Watch I don't play Apples game with designing every two years a new model.
I don't care if they do it with the phones or MacBooks, but a watch is something completely different.
I want it thinner, nobody talks about thickness.

The fact they released the first version that had to be tethered to YOUR PHONE was baffling to me.

This is APPLE. You are telling me they couldn't figure out a way to get this thing to run without your phone having to be in close proximity? lol wat.

Respectfully you are incorrect. The Apple Watch 2 is relatively close to being announced. There is no doubt about it. I agree Watch OS3 will make it seem as if the Watch is like a whole new Watch, but that means nothing in terms of releasing a new version of Watch 2. It will most likely be announced around the time of the premiere of the iPhone 7. The release date is unknown obviously.

Apple is not concerned about a time scale with all their products and it's about the time for Watch 2 to debut.

I hope they switch the charger to a 30-pin.

Two things I wish for:

1) Better battery life
2) Better performance

Even if it looked the same (albeit, a little thinner) and it had the two points above, I'd be happy.

Agreed. Battery life for sure. If the WWDC event is any indication, it looks like point #2 will be addressed.

So why is MR following stupid DIGITLESS TIME?
I wouldn't say
DigiTimes is stupid. DigiTimes produced a cautious report with the title:

"Component makers to see weak orders for tablets and wearables"

and somehow MR turned that 180-degrees into a headline:

"Second-Generation Apple Watch Expected This Fall"

It's utterly baffling.

I don't agree with the idea of longer battery life. Does it really matter if it works for 2 or 3 days. To really make a difference they need to bump it to a week or so. And that will not happen in the short run.

I'd rather have extended functionality - like cellular functionality. I have to re-charge anyhow regularly. I mostly recharge during nights anyhow. Sometimes i keep it on and charge it in the morning since it charges quickly and I want to track my pulse during night. And as someone says one solution is to be able to charge quickly (which it is already quite good at).

Will Apple finally include GPS and let me use the Apple watch without my iPhone? If not, no sale. How many revisions do we have to wait?

Yeah. watchOS 3 has improved app launches (I know it's in the beta phase still) but they are not instant (which is what we saw at WWDC). Only new hardware can fix this issue properly.

GPS. That's all I care about. I don't want a camera, I don't want a cellular radio... if the next version is identical to this one with the addition of GPS, I will be a happy camper.

Exactly. What would be more interesting is a faster way to charge, so that instead of charging at night it can be worn for sleep tracking.
It charges pretty quick. I wore mine for "sleep tracking" for a while. I'd set it to charge about an hour in the evening, and then again when I got up. Put it on when I left, about 40 minutes. Never had a battery issue that way.

There is something about G-Shocks that not even a Rolex could make me feel, I highly doubt I'd part with it for a novelty half a day life watch but then that's me.
