Of course because that's all Apple does now a days. I've not really noticed or cared about my apple watch's thickness, so I'd rather see better features
Are you kidding? It's huge! And that bulging dome for the sensors are an ergonomic nightmare!

My number one request is for that dome to be removed so I can wear it without pain. Second request is a thinner body. Third request is speed/performance.

Gen 1 straps better work and they need to offer a watch face only version since many buyers will have tons of gen 1 straps.

Apple watch has so much potential. If they could do something where I could leave my iPhone at home for quick trips to Whole Foods or Starbucks that would be ideal.

I wouldn't say DigiTimes is stupid. DigiTimes produced a cautious report with the title:

"Component makers to see weak orders for tablets and wearables"

and somehow MR turned that 180-degrees into a headline:

"Second-Generation Apple Watch Expected This Fall"

It's utterly baffling.
Okay...stupid isn't word that I'm looking for bt anyhow...it is baffling.

The most dull Apple product since 1998. Instead of a great, smart personal assistant and health tracker we got laggy iWatch. It took a lot of efforts and a touch of genius to turn it this way.

Clearly your opinion may vary. Many would disagree with you. And the lag you speak of has greatly improved and will even so more with Watch OS3.

Do people actually wear an Apple Watch?! What a gimmick

And some, clearly need to get outdoors and visit more public places to see they exist and those who appreciate this gimmick for various reasons.

Apple can keep the cellular and add in a camera...

Well, sure, via the lightning connector on the side. Now you just need something to clip that damn webcam to.

Enter :apple:helmet (or hell, just use a selfie-stick :)

Blood sugar and blood pressure in real time. game changed!
****, if they're gonna do blood sugar, you may as well do blood alcohol content too. Ooh. Then you could have CarPlay not allow your vehicle be started if you were dumbass enough to get behind the wheel!

Hmm....

Gen 1 Watch straps will undoubtedly fit on Gen 2. I guarantee Apple will not change this yet. It works really well and is easy to change bands, which was the goal. It could change by version three or four, but version two, we are safe.

It's huge? You feel a 42 MM Watch is huge?Have you ever seen an Invicta or Omega, those are big. And the dome housing the heart rate sensors is not nearly as large or cumbersome as your making it sound. Your the first I have ever heard say the sensor dome is huge. The sensor dome causes you pain? Maybe this needs to be said, but the Apple Watch may not be for you by the rate of your complaints.

And the speed/performance will be addressed with Watch OS3 and an the S2 Chip. It has progressively improved with software updates.

It'll be significantly better in some way and most of the current owners will write it off as a minor update. Then, at some point, many of them will upgrade and mock the original watch for its inferiority.

And this is exactly how Macrumors works. If there wasn't any complaining about the Apple Watch, then there would be no debate, with out debate and discussion if everyone agreed, then Macrumors would have no need for a comments section with read only articles. I have learned a great deal from members on here and other members are worthless. Your mileage may vary, but in any case I enjoy my Apple Watch and am looking forward to version 2. I don't care how great version 2 is, I will keep version one and still wear it. The September Key Note should be fun.

But will there be new bands?

How original is this statement. I'm sure their will be new bands with plenty of color variations to amuse you.

I'm still ok with my original watch. IF there is a larger face option, 48mm perhaps. I might be interested, but not until maybe this time next year when the price drops.

Doubt we will see a larger Watch Face for version 2. I personally would not mind seeing a larger watch face. I think 42 MM is a great size, not to big, but large enough to be noticed. I think we will see a larger face option in version three or four, maybe even with a round iteration. No doubt Apple will appease the masses as the Watch continues to expand.

Make it look more like an actual watch and I will buy one. They're just downright ugly. Minor form factor changes aren't enough.

Exactly. What would be more interesting is a faster way to charge, so that instead of charging at night it can be worn for sleep tracking.

I already use the Apple Watch for sleep tracking. I put it on the charger about an hour before I plan to go to sleep and it's fully charged by the time I go to bed.

I see them literally everywhere now. What always surprises me is that they are mostly on what look like non-techies. I see lots of women wearing AWs, and I'm guessing the AW is eating into the Fitbit crowd. I was an AW skeptic at first, but will pick up the gen2 for the fitness tracking.

That's sarcasm, right? Heh...we need a sarcasm font on here. :)

You could do the reverse as well (put it on the charger in the morning, right after you wake up) - most people futz about for about an hour in the AM before they leave for work. I found the sleep tracking app I played with to only use about 12% battery life overnight.
