Sector 5 from Element Case order thread.

Took the plunge now that it's confirmed the Draco impacts signal strength. Went with they grey for my black iPhone 5.
 
The FE gray? I think that's the best color. The silver would be best on a white phone, but the gray is better than the black imo. Plus, if the finish starts to wear off the gray it won't be as noticeable as the black one.

It's not on purpose, but it's a result of the Spigen Steinheil Back Panel Protection Film (Crystal & Matte Film Combo). The Black / Slate iPhone seems to produce this "halo", but the White / Silver doesn't have the same effect. I wouldn't think the Apple Logo and "iPhone" writing on the back of the iPhone 5 are executed differently between the two colors, but I don't know why else they would product different results with a screen protector. It's almost like those element are raised on the Black / Slate color combo... :confused:

I think the grey one looks good on the white iphones that people have posted so far (check elements fb page). i guess ill post pictures once i get it in.
 
This case looks nice, but I cannot bring myself to pay this much for a case.

Post pics when you get it please.
 
For anyone interested:

I just had a lengthy conversation with a VP at Element Case and suffice it to say, I am happy with his correspondence in regards to my concerns and he apologized on behalf of the company for the way my situation had been handled.

I'm also happy to report that my access to their Facebook page has been reinstated.

I also just placed my order for the S5FE and I can't wait to get it!

They usual do have pretty good customer relations, they sell alot of cases and you just half to be patient with them. Glad it worked out for you. I can't wait to get mine.

I will be getting another (maybe 2) reservation links - anyone here interested??

I signed up with a few diff email addys because I didn't think it was going through as I was getting bumped back the homepage after signing up when it was indeed working fine...

I used the other 2 addresses about 1 week after the one I received my order link on (that's shipping the 15th) so I should have them soon.

Ok, technically, there are 2 different ones, but precisely 3. Did I lose you yet? lol Follow along:

There is the First Edition (gun metal flux) and then there is the Standard Edition, but the standard edition comes in 2 different finishes (black flux and silver flux).

Differences? FE initially included a carbon fiber back plate, FE laser engraving and a higher cost. Since it hit the market, some have had reception issues with the CF plate and it is no longer included in the FE and as a result, the price dropped. They are working on a new CF plate that can be purchased separately. Pricing began at $159.95 for the FE and then dropped to $144.95. The standard edition is priced at $139.95.

I mean, theres like a 10 dollar difference, its pretty much nothing. Also last but not least - which model are you guys going for?

Can't say how long the FE will be offered. I can tell you that each order invite now offers both the FE and SE for your choice.
