Looks like I might end up getting this case even though it has a steep price. I just found out that they are working on an armband that the Sector 5 will go into! Perfect!

I see Element Case has changed the price for the Sector 5 FE to $144.95.
Has anyone got a refund?
Mine is still on order but I already paid I believe the original price of $159.95.

Pre order List
This pre order list is an absolute joke. They have no grip on that list.
On their blog in which they discuss the first cases shipping out ( http://blog.elementcase.com/2012/10/18/sector-5-begins-shipping-today/#comment-2652 ) They respond to someone last week telling him he is next on the order invite list to give an overall idea to people where they may be in line.
This guy signed up 3 weeks AFTER I did. Fast forward to today. People here are confirming they received order invites and they tweeted today they sent out a batch of orders invites as well.
Did this guy get an invite? No. So, armed with this info, I phoned in to customer service to see if anyone could help me out. They stood by the company line and said, we can not tell you where you are in line. So, I explained the situation again as I can see it from their own social media outlets and they put me on hold. This time they came back and told me that I am 'close' to receiving my invitation.
I'm not so sure I want the case anymore, which is sad, because my wife is getting it for me for my birthday which was 2 weeks ago. Here's why I'm leaning toward not purchasing from Element Case:
1. They are not sending invites to order the S5 out accurately, or they are lying to people about their space in line.
2. I really wanted the carbon fiber backplate. They first proclaimed their case did not alter phone reception at all. Could be true of the bumper itself, but when you supply backplates, they should be tested as well.
3. They should have fulfilled all orders for the FE prior to rolling out the 2 new color options. Or put up separate pre order sign ups for the secondary color options.

They refunded the FE people $25 already because of the faulty case an backplate. Those aren't included now.
Did you sign up twice? Do you know when you signed up for this invite you received today?

To my knowledge what is not included now is just the carbon back plate, the case is still listed as part of the kit for $145: (from EC website):

Large peripheral ports, fully compatible with the Lightning cable

Well my ideal case would be one that the IP doesnt need to be taken out of to put on an armband.
I was reading through some of the comments on Elements website and someone suggested they do a case for the IP5 that was previously made for the IP4. They responded by saying they were looking to "new ideas and innovations" for the IP5.
So I emailed them and they responded that they were already working on an armband to mount the Sector 5.
Curious if anyone who placed an order with a Nov 1st shipping date has received a shipping notice. Didn't know where they are on their fulfillment.
Curious to know when you received your invite to order and when you signed up on the pre order list. I signed up over 5 weeks ago and nothing so far... Seems like they are playing rock paper scissors with the list.
I have nov 1 ship date and nothing so far. I have also not received a credit for the carbon back plate or the transit case. I will wait to see if that gets corrected when the ship my case.
Can someone post or pm me the new link. I have tried to order twice and both fave fallen through. I got the link the other two times but they would not work by the time I received it. Thanks in advance.
Actually...I never received an invite (though I signed up for it very quickly after it went up). I used another customers order link who decided to go a different direction, and the order processed immediately. I understand if they want to delay those ordering out of turn. If that were the case, perhaps they should have waited to charge until units were ready to ship or find a better way to do their pre-orders; however, since they have my money and took it immediately upon order, I have a bit more skin in the game, out of order or not. They've had my money since middle of the month.

I used another persons invite as well and mine was not delayed. Received it last week.

It does save buying two after you committed to the FE. As far as durability it seems to me if you damage it you can just polish it again. Maybe it will corrode from hand sweat.
Why wait on the silver color? They never gave any indication of what the future potential colors could be. In fact, they stressed they would fulfill the FE orders and then think about that.

These are quality cases and I guarantee worth the wait. I am waiting on mine now and Im sure if you guys wait it out you will be happy with them.
