They had an evolutionary biologist around and they were not able to figure out all the humans would be eaten and dead in a matter of months? They should have gotten a better evolutionary biologist.
Most animals avoid humans. More so in communities. Initially and perhaps for a generation or two people would still live in houses and buildings. There are billions of them. At least until they began to deteriorate and there were no more to live in. So they would have had shelter for quite awhile. And in time they would have adapted to being blind and found a way to function in the world. Blind people can do some pretty amazing things.
Though, obviously, many would have died due to accidents, illnesses and such. I'm sure entire communities perished. Thus the low population. They only focus on a very small area so you don't know what the rest of the world looks like.

back to the show "see". I must admit, after seeing the 4 episodes that while it's not a great show, it certainly is better than expected initially. moreover, the video and audio quality is superb which often sucks with netflix or amazon prime. one sees that a lot of money went into production and the story is something out of the ordinary that your usual netflix show wouldn't show. so I hope in time apple tv+ may attract some serious filmmaking. what I don't get: dr dre's biopic show was cancelled due to violence. well, "see" features totally unnecessary violence so I wonder what the issue was...

I wonder what kind of consultants those were. It doesn't make sense that in a society that has been blind for centuries people still match colors in their clothes, or use feathers on their heads as ornaments, and so many other details... Worst attempt at science-fiction ever!

I haven't seen the show yet but can't they just identify the same animals to hunt down for their skin and feathers by sound?

1. We have no natural defenses in the wilderness. All it would take is a pack of wolves, coyotes and/or a mountain lion or maybe a alligator to make mince meat of a crowd of people.

And that's why humanoids never managed to take more than a few steps past their primeval tree: no defence against cold, or against extreme heat, or against sharp claws, or anything really. Let's take a minute of silence for that long lost species.

2. It’s total and utter b.s. to be able to tame horses as a blind person. Having dealt with these animals myself. Even accidentally walking behind one at the wrong time will result in you being kicked and killed or seriously maimed.

Same as it's utterly impossible to play football or ride a bike or navigate a city as a blind person. Having done those myself, I can tell you it can't happen.

3. On the same prior note, blindfold yourself and try to mount a wild horse. Let’s see how you do.

Exactly! I bet that if you blindfolded yourself you'd soon stumble into things and eventually die. And nothing would change if you were born blind, in a world of blind people. Nah, surely death would be mercifully swift for all.

4. Try giving birth with a blind midwife. Oh wait, there aren’t any blind midwives. Or how about a blind doctor performing surgery. Oh hey, let’s also have a massive ground battle with blind infantry.

Well, that was fast. A blind midwife, courtesy of 10 secs in Google: https://midwiferytoday.com/mt-articles/an-interview-with-ray-mcallister/

Now, I haven't watched the show, so maybe there actually are lots of holes. But you're making a pretty poor case for it :D.

If you need explanations for this stuff then really I just cannot help you.

You're absolutely right, I don't think you can help me.

Oh and as a consultant, researcher of multiple scientific disciplines and also a published author and content creator.... I kinda sorta know what I’m talking about.

PS: lots of consultant get it wrong and my firm and I are often the ones called in to fix that.

Here I LOL'd.
