How does an entire species of people born blind even know or understand the concept of seeing? That part really bugs me about this show

There are different places in the brain where vision is processed. Based on what we know from humans today, if it just infected their eyes then they would likely have a sense of missing vision even if they never actually saw. If it hits their occipital cortex they might think about their visual field the same way someone with 20/20 vision thinks about the world directly behind them. The latter is what I think you are getting at.

I hope they don't try and explain it in a story arc because as tempting as it might be to do, it would likely ruin the world building.

I can’t even believe Apple is getting into content. They’re a tech company. And they would do much better to focus on that. Steve always talked about how they had such a focused, small number of high quality products. Fix your bugs Apple

Cameramen, directors, producers, actors can't code or engineer hardware no matter how hard they "focus"

And while on that subject the people who draw emojis are neither engineers nor cameramen, directors, producers, actors, etc.

Just FYI so that next time you can focus on crafting a more cogent post.

I've already cancelled my Apple+ sub. For one, $5 is just too much for 6 shows, of which maybe two I would ever watch. I had to stop watching both that I selected because they were just preachy social soapboxes for issues not that closely related the premises of the series. I can't begin to express how disappointed I am with this. I'm guessing Disney+ will be far and away better.
You watch dickenson?

If they were blinded by a viral infection...why are the newborns also blind?
It somehow affected the germline? Or are they all persistently infected?

It’s not explained. We’ll have to assume the virus changes DNA specifically the genes encoding the ability to see, or that the virus is passed from mother to child and is still around, otherwise it won’t make any sense.

I definitely did like "The Morning Show" the most and "For All Mankind" to an extent, but "See" was just meh.
This is how i feel. See is almost unintentionally funny. And so is Dickinson. Mankind and Morning show was good. But not like great enough for me to keep watching. But I cannot complain cause since i bought a new phone. The service is free for me.🤷🏻‍♂️

I wonder which one of those suggested that they include a mystic who touches herself while reciting a bastardized version of the Lord's Prayer that has no relevance to the story whatsoever.

People have done a lot of crazy stuff in the name of religion throughout history. Basically just shows you what kind of a nut job she is.

Watched the first 3 episodes. I tried to suspend disbelief, but I couldn't enough to truly enjoy it. Props to Momoa and Woodard though for their acting, but the rest of the actors' deliveries make it feel like a third rate Syfy channel movie.

The plot is very predictable, and it's quite obviously going to go the way of recent teen dystopia movies.

For some viewers, the one saving grace may be the few visually great fight scenes, like the one in the slaver prison.

I wonder what kind of consultants those were. It doesn't make sense that in a society that has been blind for centuries people still match colors in their clothes, or use feathers on their heads as ornaments, and so many other details...

Or that the star is a guy with tattoos all over his body?

And if they cover up his tattoos, they’ll lose half his fan base.

my totally blind uncle matched his clothing pretty well. Blind people use all their other senses very differently than those With all their senses. Feathers, dangling jewelry offer more sensory input than you realize

I watched the first two episodes. Beautifully shot with some serious eye-candy in 4K video. But the fact they're all blind is ridiculous non-sense. It's not even an interesting plot twist, it's just silly. They are able to coordinate their outfits with accessories, their hair is cut, their horses look great and they can duck and volley when in battle. I found the suspension of disbelief that the entire planet is now blind too hard to overcome. I can't believe Apple gave this one the green light.

you seem to have limited understanding of the blind. My late Uncle for instance was totally blind. And did things that amazed others who could see. One instance.... he was speaking to someone, then stopped in mid sentence and told the person “hold your head up and look at me when I am talking to you...” this person did have their head down!

Shocked the crap out of the person he was talking to. When asked my Uncle said he just “knew” the guy was hanging his head even though he never said a word.

Apple is spending billions in content that will never be recouped.
Now they are making a credit card.

Go back to make less high quality products, since the entire computer line up is a disaster, bad specs and way overpriced.
Home pod, is lame and came late to the market.
Latest iPad, just released it is still with lighting connector instead of USB-C.

Well, when I learned Amazon (an online book seller) runs 40% of the internet and builds tablets and AI personal assistant, I am no longer surprised by Apple's move.

Steve cared about the consumer experience and how technology can improve their lives, Tim cares about how much their revenue grew and how much profit they made.

Unfortunately it is only the idea that sounds great, the execution is very 'meh' with some inconsistencies sprinkled in. It shows that just throwing money at things does not make for good entertainment. And do not get me started on TMS, I tried the first two episodes and fell asleep halfway through both of them.
If this doesn't improve, Apple will lose a lot of subscribers after their free year is over.

Too bad they didn't hire a good screenwriter. The dialogue is godawful and Queen Kane is laughably terrible.

And I think Momoa should be the biggest movie star on Earth. This just doesn't serve him well at all. Or the audience.

Is this seriously how I used to sound when defending Apple? Man, my point is there shouldn’t exist a department where there are cameramen, producers and actors. Apple makes computers and phone. They’re shifting focus and quality is dropping. It’s clear and obvious.

I can believe, because it's pretty simple: diversifying your product offerings distributes risk, and increases the perceived value of the other products the company offers. No other company on the planet has an ecosystem of products and services like Apple.
Or you just spread yourself too thin and suck at everything. Very specifically the opposite of what Steve did to fix Apple when he came back

Since Apple TV+ is in its infancy, I say the shows are OK , but not groundbreaking, SEE its entertaining but far from being a great show, needs more coherence and better writing and acting for sure, Apple has a lot of work to do if they want to compete and be paid for in the TV business .HBO is still a master in its class when it comes to TV production and quality, and Netflix provides a niche and plethora of all kinds of movies and shows to choose from.
