Selena Gomez today released a new song and video entitled "Lose You to Love Me," and the entire video was shot in black and white using an iPhone 11 Pro.

Apple has released a one-minute clip of the video as part of its ongoing "Shot on iPhone" series, but the full video is available on Gomez's YouTube channel.

As noted by Billboard, the video was shot by noted music video director Sophie Muller.

Apple has released quite a few different types of photos and videos in its "Shot on iPhone" series, including stills, sports-themed videos, and short films. More recently, Apple has expanded the campaign to include musicains and bands on tour and even ASMR videos.

You may not like the video but this is a huge deal. I mean, the average Joe really has no excuse now. Pretty much anything can be imagined even on a mobile budget.

Except for the “additional software and professional hardware used,” and the Mac to edit it on, per the fine print at the end. You’re not getting a video like that out of the Camera app on a handheld iPhone with the ceiling fan for light and iMovie for iOS to edit on.

And?
I can shoot pretty good photos and decent video with my XS Max. If I gave it to a professional, they could do a much better job making it look ... professional.

Personally I am not a fan of Selena. When you see her in person in everyday life she is not that memorable. Then again, not many stars are.
The days when the stars had a gift are gone...now everybody with todays tech can sing...we will never get artists like Michelangelo or Michael J, or Freddy Mercury or whatever, the days where tech was not took over the artist talent are over since 2002

The story boards for this video have like 2 frames? Just sit there and sing while the camera moves backward and forward?

It’s stunning what this phone can do with video. Unbelievable. Game changer. What the Canon 5D did for DSLR video a decade ago, the iPhone 11 Pro Max will do for smart phone video.

Like everyone seems to be aware of now, almost anything can be achieved with the right lighting, crew and experienced post house.

if Apple wants to give their “shot on...” series any credibilty, they need to use just *one* director/camera person/DoP—and edit, render and export the entire video from an iPhone as well.

Shoot an Iggy Pop performance and maybe ill buy an iPhone 11. Keep shooting POP drivel and I'll go Andriod!
