    EDIT :
here are some more pics, I have added the apple logo and two "exhausts" for the speaker :)
    both done in steel.
the brushed metal logo was inspired by a wallpaper I saw :)

I usually make my own iPhone cases to carry my iPhone in my pocket, most cases you can buy are not very nice, and I just like the wooden look with the iPhone

and this time I was inspired by the aluminium Vapor case, the case is made from a scrap piece of dark hard wood and is very sturdy.
the buttons are turned 6mm steel, and the inside of the case lined with black felt.

My headphones don't have volume control, and with the buttons I can change the volume without taking the iPhone out of my pocket :).

The case still needs small holes for the speaker, and I want to have the Apple logo on the front, like my old 3GS case

That is some beautiful work there. A bit bulky, but beautiful nonetheless.

Wow, very nice work! Probably the best home made case out there. How many hrs did it take you to complete?

    I am NOT American

but the wood gives a nice contrast to the metal and glass design of the iPhone

I'm British and I think that looks absolutely fantastic! Possibly the most elegant sleeve type case I've seen, professional or homemade. Kudos on the excellent work Absrnd.
