Go ahead and sell it. You are not losing anything by getting rid of that fail pad.

Do you think it's a good idea to buy Galaxy note after selling my iPad 2. I can't keep both. I like galaxy note because it's phone cum tablet and having higher resolution than iPad 2. What do you guys suggest? Thanks!

You will regret it.

Couldn't afford one huh? Jealousy is such an ugly emotion...

They're not in the same niche. The iPad 2 is a laptop replacement. It has the feel of a laptop but stripped down. There is very little sacrifice with web use, document viewing, etc.

Anything smaller, such as the Galaxy note, is a step backward. Web browsing, document viewing are going to feel cramped.

But they are very nice no doubt, and being an owner of both, I can say the Note does a good job but does not replace the iPad. The iPad is just more comfortable navigating.

In other words: Your nuts if you sell your iPad :D

The iPad 2 is definitely not a laptop replacement.

A co-worker has equipped his children with WiFi devices like the iPod Touch and on those they have WiFi capable communication apps like Skype. So you could have a 10" WiFi enabled phone (of sorts) and not have to compromise for a smaller screen. :D

Decide for yourself

Got an iPad sold it. Got a Macbook Air and love it!

Had and iPhone 4, tried iPhone 4S it's still a great phone, but didn't impressed me at all. Didn't feel like any sort of an upgrade. Had they ported Siri over to the iPhone 4, I wouldn't consider it an upgrade at all.

Then I tried the Galaxy Skyrocket. Loved it but griped about the screen resolution. Then heard about the Note. Lusted after it for 3 months before it was released, got it and I'm loving it.

Although I sold my iPad, my work bought me another one, but I've found myself using it less and less and never carrying it with me ever since getting the Note. I sometimes use my iPad at the couch, but even for this I still prefer the Macbook Air.

Don't get me wrong, IOS is still a great OS. But then again so is Android. Please don't listen to all these "experts" here singing the gospels of their respective platform. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Just try them out for yourself and decide. Buy whats right for you, rather than what everyone else is say is the right thing for everyone. There is no such thing.

And yes I love the S-Pen. I don't use it all the time. But some of the sketches I've been able to do with it are pretty cool. Sometimes a step into the past is also a step forward.

I bought galaxy note after selling iPad 2. I want to share my experiences :

1. It cant replace ipad anyway. So i will buy ipad 3.
2. I will keep the galaxy note either - its very hard to hate it :) I am really loving it even over iphone 4S.

Here is why:-

The screen is great for watching videos, surfing and playing games. It is also good for people who want to browse and minor last minute edit to their office files. Taking short notes is a piece of cake. The screen contrast and brightness are excellent (sorry iPhone).

The phone is big but easy to manage. Website in desktop mode is readable without zooming. The android OS works excellent here. It will get ICS very soon. Moreover, S pen is a bonus. and if you are artist, its an asset. No matter how you look at them, Galaxy note is a bit ahead of iPhone 4S!!! I will never look back to iPhone unless they redesign it. :p

Agreed...
I have the note, 4s, g-tab 8.9 and ipad 1 (already give it to my wife)... and I love them ALL :D

Iphone 4s is my main phone, the camera is the best..but for me, the battery life is not good, thats why I combine it with mophie pack plus..

G-Note, I love the screen..fast (at least with my provider) and nice for browsing, social media and the battery life is decent..oh and I use the plume twitter (IMHO it is the best, I already try almost all of the twitter client in OS and android).

Ipad 1, yeah I know its heavy...but none of my gadget beats its battery life..Perfect..

G-tab 8.9 yeah its a so so device..nice screen, pretty fast and light, battery life is pretty good (not awesome)..maybe I will sell it after ipad 3 launch..I just like it because I don't have to use itunes when exchange data..

Now, if I have to choose between ipad 2 or note.. I still prefer the Ipad..(that is if you already have iphone or other cell phone).. with Ipad I always sure I can use it a whole day and still have minimal 60% battery life at night..

ps: sorry for my english :)
