Who cares what other people do? Not me.

Sent from my iPad circling planet Neptune on the back of a comet. Reversing course in order to plow right into Uranus.

First thing I removed was that annoying sig.

Sent from my iPad.
Sent from Samsung Mobile.
Sent from my Windows Phone.

All deleted from my devices.

So why not remove the annoying sig from your MacRumors messages? Who cares what you own???

Do you have reading difficulties? All explained here.

If you find my or any other forum signatures annoying, why not disable them?
User CP > Edit options > Visible Post elements Uncheck "Show Signatures".
Hopefully, this will decrease your level of "annoyance".

Agreed. Also acts as a cover yourself in case you made a typo or autocorrect kicked in without you noticing. Whilst not necessarily the best particularly in business it still helps provide context to a reply. It also may explain a particularly abrupt or short email.

It depends on the company's culture. Some companies have been doing "Sent from my Blackberry" with work-issued BB devices for years.

I've always changed it to "Sent from a mobile device"

I want to let everyone know that the email may feel a little more informal because of the device I'm on. If I'm sending personal email I remove it (along with the rest of my work signature)

I don't. My e-mail is my e-mail, period, and if I can't make the effort to reply properly just because I'm on a mobile device, then it'll either wait until I'm at my desktop, or I'll say as much ("will respond in detail later when at a desktop") to explain it to the person I'm replying to.

People don't need to know what device I'm on. I never liked those sigs, even back when I had a Blackberry.

I think its kitchy and cute so I keep it.

I think it's cute when I receive it from my mom's iPad since I introduced her to it and love that she gets lots of use out of it.

I kinda like it. It w just one of those little additions that I really liked when I first saw the iPhone in '07 and still like in 2012. Obviously, to each his own though.
I have an apple sticker on my car though, so it's pretty much the same thing, just on emails.

I have it on, and i even have my custom "Sent from my MacBook Pro" when sending email from my mac.

No particular reason, just fun. Hate all you want.

The signature line indicating you are on a mobile device is important because it tells the reader that all the typos and typing shortcuts are due to being mobile rather than being dumb. Its not about showing off (But then the geeky side of me does like to know what someone else is typing on).

I haven't bothered to change it yet, still sent from my iPad. It's funny how other people mention that the receiver is annoyed by the signature. I often noticed that people would seem disturbed by the signature. Not sure why. Lol

I don't mind long signatures. There are so many of them, I'm just used to them. I send and receive emails that have 50+ replies tacked on the bottom, all indented, with signatures on many of them. Doesn't bother me, it's just the way we communicate now.

Changed my iPhone to "Sent from my phone"

Changed my iPad to "Sent from my mobile device"

I'd rather not be an advertisement or 'look at what I have' person in my emails, but I find value in letting people know that I'm not at my desk, and my short reply is because I'm out and about.
