Hi all! I am an experienced Mac user but yet to have figured out one thing. I've seen many threads but they all are several years old and may no longer be relevant. However, does anyone know if it's possible to have 2 separate screensavers on 2 different monitors? I'm running High Sierra on a iMac 21.5 in. 2017. Please help! Thanks in advance,

AFAIK, yes.
With your external monitor connected, opening Desktop & Screen Saver pane in System Preferences opens two windows for changing your wallpaper; one appears on your iMac, the other appears on the second display.

At least, this is how it has been for both MacBooks I’ve owned the past 6 years. I honestly am not sure if it is handled the same on iMac.

Hmm. The window pops up for changing the wallpaper but not the screensaver. Still trying to look for solutions. Thanks anyways!

Not on high Sierra! We are setting up a monitor wall (6 monitors) which we want to show different screen savers on. Normally we just hook it up to a nMP. However this year we have to lug along an old MP as well :(

Still when I first started working here, I had to lug 6 G5's to a show!

Yes.

Want to make your snoozing Mc look like a couple of AppleTV sitting on your desk?

https://github.com/JohnCoates/Aerial

Aerial is free, automatically downloads the latest ATV Aerial screensavers to your Mac, and best of all, can be easily set to play a different video on each display. Best of all, you can probably drop any MOV file in the folder and it should play it.

Another, similar one is SaveHollywood s.sudre.free.fr/Software/SaveHollywood/about.html

With SaveHollywood, you have to find your own .mov, .m4v or .mp4 files. Any of the movie formats dropped in a a folder, choose the folder in the options and it will randomly play these on one, or both monitors. It will even play audio (or it can be muted).

What I am specifically looking to do is have an mp4 file in SaveHollywood (already downloaded) playing on one monitor while having a countdown clock (GitHub screensaver) playing on the other.

Not sure how you would do the countdown clock + SaveHollywood. You can only run one screensaver at a time. So the countdown clock would need to be saved as a MP4 file, but that would mean it would always countdown the same timeframe each time it runs.
