Yeah...I’m so sick of this screen...

Hah same. The Apple Store near me has 256GB SG Xs Max in stock but I can't purchase it since I cannot interrupt iUP upgrade process

You technically can. You could start a new iPhone Upgrade Program at the store and once you receive the phone from UPS, return it and that will close out that loan. I know it’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s a way to have a phone sooner.

Wait but how does returning my current phone work? I would do it if I knew what to deal with this problem :/

You’d still return it in the box they’re sending since it’s connected with the phone from UPS that you’ll return. I chatted Apple to verify this information and they confirmed it would be cool as long as you return the phone being shipped within the 14 day return period.

Oh dang:/ I've just checked local inventory. They're out of stock again. I guess if my phone is not coming in on Monday, I'll go with this route.

There have been years though where you couldn’t find stock in the stores until weeks after the launch. If you are paying in full for the phone, it’s best to pre-order and then plan to go to the Apple Store on launch day if your phone won’t be delivered. Then just return the shipped phone. Apple makes the return process painless. Several people here posted that this is what they are doing or have done. Although, my wife was at the mall yesterday and she said the Apple Store in the evening had a line a mile long. I’m guessing the same goes for today. I want my new phone but the thought of waiting in a line tells me to just be patient.

That's what I decided to do. Ordered today and pickup in store between 5-5:30pm today. I'll just return my United ups delivery in store for a refund whenever it gets here. No stress.

That doesn't make sense though because, technically, we return the phone so that loan should be closed and we get the first payment back :/

I would think so too. Might just require a call to Citizens instead of Apple since they’re the ones that took the payment.

I think this is my last pre-order also. I don't mind waiting a few extra days, but not having any idea of what day UPS will deliver is annoying. I changed my plans for Monday so I could be home and now it is coming Tues (or not). No definite date for either item I ordered. I could have picked up the same phone at 3 different stores in Pittsburgh today.

Definitely should have just gone in-store (and will next year) - there are several Apple stores in Portland area and all have my 256GB SG XSMax in stock. Don’t know how long this ZZ nightmare will last.
I'm on the same stage hasn't changed in 30 hrs

I’ll probably not gonna bother with preorder again unless it’s a launch day pickup/delivery, all of my local Apple Stores are showing the model I want in stock right now :( my phone is still stuck in ZZ. Hoping UPS is just not updating..

I have to believe that’s the case. If that phone isn’t in Louisville when I land there on Tuesday, I may murder someone....
