Used photoshop and pasted in the font in Hiragino Mincho Pro (W3) size 368px on a white background and applied a drop shadow. Easy...
If you look at fonts "by Radical" you can get quite a lot of information:

So are all of those in Chinese then? Or do you simply understand how to disect the name of the character to figure out which language it is from? I noticed that if you select Japanese instead of All Characters that the meanings of the words are not listed, simply more symbols.... 😕

I have no idea. I'm kind of new to the Character palette myself. Just found it a few days ago, looking for an appropriate sign to use for an all-women playlist in iTunes. The "Related Character" field, from the "ordinary" symbol for women, led me to the Chinese sign, and to the list "by Radicals"... so I poked around a bit and figured out a couple of those would be nice as desktop images... 🙂
