Kind of boring. I'm ready to change it to something else, but I haven't found the time to go searching for a new one.
That Adium buddy list is cool. I might set mine up like that.

I have 1000's of pictures, and change desktops often on all my computers. But this month I am just posting the pictures on my iBook :)

Anyway here is late Septembers picture of the week ;)

Sure thing.

Here is a link to a Powerbook sized version of the same desktop.

And here is a link to the page which I got it from.

Thanks.

One tip though, it's much better to have your buddy list's color be an opaque version of whatever color is on your desktop. The text in the list gets very anemic looking if you use a transparent window for the list.

It's much nicer and truer to form if you have an opaque window.

Me too. That's why I came downstairs to the picture gallery in the first place, and there were several threads to reply to.

Anyways, here is my new one, I'm quite pleased with it. Scaled down obviously:

That is a pretty oldschool game is it not? I was trying to figure out what Ikaruga meant/stood-for, but then I realized it was the game. Nicely done, the desktop looks awesome.

Care to share??

Thanks for the compliments. I made a white Ikaruga desktop a while back, but I never really liked it. I've been on sort of a black kick lately, and this just seemed like it would be nice.

A far as Ikaruga itself - it's a newer game (Gamecube), inspired by all those Japanese vertical scrolling shooters from back in the day. It's incredibly difficult, incredibly fun.

Anyways, here is a link to the 1680x1050 version.

Man those games are great to play at an arcade, but I can't imagine them making money selling that at this age.

Then again, it probally didn't take that much money to make.

I don't know, it has one of the highest replay values of any game in my pretty expansive, all three system collection.

Google "Ikaruga" and prepare to see some serious praise being heaped onto a game.

I took the time to make a desktop image for god's sake.

I am not sure, I believe that car was not allocated at that point. I took that picture at NAIAS 2005 during the Media preview week for journalists.

I will need to look at the other pictures, but I believe that this car had no numbers yet.. Could be wrong though!

Thanks for the link.

I saw that it was a GameCube game, I guess it just never clicked. I was looking at some screenshots and it just struck me as an arcade scrolling plane shooter, something like 1942 (if anyone remembers that airplane game....for NES I think  ) which was just awesome. Anyway, nice desktop and thanks again.

Thanks, the website has some quite cool themes on it too.

::20ROGERSC::

I tried a few of them, and they are pretty, but something about running a theme on top of Tiger just doesn't sit well with me.

I would try a theme out, then switch back to defult aqua, and find it better looking.

How'd you get into the Press Week? I've gone for the past few years but could never find a way to get into the Press Week. I need to see those unveilings!!
