Kind of boring. I'm ready to change it to something else, but I haven't found the time to go searching for a new one.

I prefer "classic" to boring. What are people's opinions about this - I think it's a photo of the back of a powerbook, rather than some beautifully rendered piece of artwork. Says something for Apple design though!

Me too. That's why I came downstairs to the picture gallery in the first place, and there were several threads to reply to.

Anyways, here is my new one, I'm quite pleased with it. Scaled down obviously:

How'd you get into the Press Week? I've gone for the past few years but could never find a way to get into the Press Week. I need to see those unveilings!!

I am a freelance journalist. You have to get approved (proof of work and such) to get press passes.

Since I have been doing freelance work since 1999, I was able to go to the 2000 show upto current. I freelance for 3 websites (one being my own), and also do photography work for a few others.

It is lots of work if you take it seriously, as there are press meetings every 15 minutes, with many overlapping. Since I work only with European make releases, it is slightly less of an issue, however BMW and Porsche are typically run at he same time, making that day impossible for me to get all I need for my articles or photos :(

Was discussed up a little bit, Ikaruga is a game for GameCube modeled after the vertical scrolling air-battle arcade games. Apparently it is quite good, but I cannot speak for gameplay.

screensaver desktop

I'm running the Cosmos screensaver as my desktop image(s)/animation now. I'm not using Backlight, but bgscreensaver. It works great, and in Tiger it works with screensavers that Backlight doesn't.

Looks good!

You should take an other picture for after it is charged :)

Y'know what - that's a pretty good idea! I may just have to do that! Of course I will have to take 2 x new pics at the same time and then rotate the pair as desktop so i will have a transition from charging to charged - that would be cool!

*rummages for tripod* ;)

A far as Ikaruga itself - it's a newer game (Gamecube), inspired by all those Japanese vertical scrolling shooters from back in the day. It's incredibly difficult, incredibly fun.

Actually Ikaruga is about 5 years old, originally released in the Japanese arcades and on the Dreamcast in 2000...The GC version came out in 2003. :D
