Here's the problem I'm having updating to 15.5.

Have the latest OCLP 2.4. already installed.

I then tried upgrading from 15.4.1 and right at the end of the completion of the download 15.5 it gives me a download error timed out. Clearly downloaded the whole file though.

I then switched from WiFi to Ethernet and has a direct connection.

Same thing?

I do not want to do a full reinstall, and just the upgrade.

Any suggestions?

On unsealed volumes every update is a full install. If the machine downloads just the delta update on an oclp OS, then something is wrong.

Sealed / unsealed: Either diskutil info (diskid of system disk) or my System Version Scanner in the dumper package:

I discovered an anomaly in regards to OCLP 2.4.0.

1. The goods news is that I'm able to connect to 5G, which in 2.3.2 I wasn't able to.

2. The bad news is that it doesn't automatically reconnect after a reboot, and I have to manually enter all the credentials, and simply doesn't cache the settings.

3. Another anomaly is that it constantly ask me to enter my account info to verify and goes through the option to upgrade to two authentication.

Just though I throw that out there.

I'm still running Sequoia 15.2 (24C101) on my cMP 5,1 (2010).
Any major bugs with the update 15.5 ?
I have updated 3 of my cMP 4.1>5.1 to 15.5

The only thing I have noticed is Prime Video does not work, and the latest Adobe Lightroom/Bridge requires AVX2 so it won't install/load.

On one of my cMPs Safari and App Store don't load, but this could be due to OCLP config. However I won't be able to trouble shoot this for a while as it's in a remote location.

All good 15.5 in my machine.
Mr. Macintosh does all the testing for many models.

After 15.5 on my Mac 5,1 with OCLP 2.4.0. all was well, no probs.

I did the 15.6 on my MacPro retina 2013 and (also with OCLP 2.4.0) and that went well, so after a few days, I tried it on my 5,1 and blooey! X%@#´´´´´´X*!!! etc

Eventually I got it installed and all the things that niggle started appearing, Blue tooth keeps turning off, Numbers won't work half the time and so on, can't add items to login in preferences and jeez! The 15.5 upgrade was easy, the 15.6 is trying my patience, I'll go for a fresh start I think...

Well that didn't work, no KDK for 15.7 when re doing root patches in OCLP

now to try to install 15.6 over the top of it

sinking feeling

I have

Nope, cant downgrade from 15.7 to 15.6

fresh start again, see you in a cupla days

success, 15.6 run from the applications folder on a Monterey install, worked :)

Last post on this, the above is for folk who may find this trial and error faffing around, helpful.

The Monterey was on a different SSD. Once that was OK on 15.6, I returned to the orginal SSD which was 15.6/7 and started again, it worked this time, as I was booted into the Monterey/15.6 and then I installed 15.6 onto the 15.6/7 - now it's 15.6 and happy as a lamb.
