Series 10 42mm = perfect size

Can anyone posit a side-by-side comparison image of an old 44mm with the new 42mm? Still cannot figure out if I should size up or down.

I always found the large apple watches (at least the recent ones) too large/chunky for my taste. I prefer the look of the smaller watches on my wrist, although in the past, the small apple watches have been just that little too small.

The 42mm is the perfect sweet spot for me. I really can't imagine wearing the larger one - this is plenty big enough for me.

Here are some photos including some comparisons between the series 6 40mm and the Series 10 42mm.

I'm a guy with narrow, thin wrists. I like the larger watch face, though. I’m looking forward to strapping on 46mm. And although it’s larger than my current Watch, it weighs less. Small as the weight difference might be, as a cyclist, I'm a weight weenie.

Not sure if I’m reading the Apple guidance correctly, but does it mean that the bands meant for the older 42/44/45 mm models would fit seamlessly the new S10 42mm? Have you checked out your old bands if they snug fit indeed? Are there any downsides? Can you share some photos of such combination maybe?

If I was buying my first watch today I probably would have gone with the small one.
However I have too many (not loads) bands and not going to switch over now.

No - the new 42mm (series 10) uses the same straps as the old 38, 40 and 41 mm.

So the new small 42 shouldn’t be confused with the original larger watch in that size although I understand the confusion.

I personally have both the ultra 2 and the series 10 46mm and I wish apple did three sizes,a 40mm,a 45mm and a 50mm and id buy the latter
