I was going to jump on a Series 3 grey to replace my Series 2 White Ceramic until I saw how pastel the grey looks in hands-on videos and heard Apple's claim on how long the battery lasts. Going from 3-4 days a charge to 18 hours just so I can use my watch as a poor replacement for my phone and have a built in altimeter doesn't seem like a good trade. Ceramic black would have been great but that grey...

The Ceramic Apple Watch seems to have slipped, there are none at my local Apple store (i say local it's at least an hour away) and both the white and grey have a time of 25th - 27th for delivery. Are people buying these or do Apple just not make many?

As it's a more premium version of the Apple Watch it's probably the latter.
Yep I ordered at 8.02 U.K time and have that delivery date

I pulled the trigger on the ceramic gray this morning. My only concern is how my band collection will look with that color. I currently have the white ceramic and have a lot of blue bands (nylon, Nike+, classic buckle) and I'm concerned some of them may look odd with this. Thoughts? Part of me wonders if I should also look at the SS.

I ordered this morning the ceramic grey too. 4-5 weeks as I was bit too late. Had to order it in Germany as it is not available in the Netherlands.

Currently I have the Hermès (original edition) and a SB SS Series 2 which goes to one of my sons.

Apple classic leather bands (black, saddle brown, midnight blue and red) which I still love to use with my Hermès.

Also sports band both Apple (midnight blue, black, red) and Nike (anthracite/black, obsidean/black). Also the old black woven nylon band, the pryde band and just ordered the new black sport loop.

Except the leather bands and Pryde, all will look stunning on the ceramic grey :)

Well you guys buying the grey will have to post pictures to try and convince me... ;)

And I have 45 days to cancel my order if in the next weeks the color appears to be a disaster. My guess is - looking at the YouTube video here
(1:43 minutes), the color is almost like Audi's Nardo Grey. Audi nardo grey

Just ordered the White LTE Ceramic AW!! This is my first AW and I feel kind of crazy for spending that kind of money for a fitness watch, but I'm SO excited to see it in person! All of the great posts and pictures, on this thread, really helped in my decision...so a big THANKS, to you all!!

I was hoping for a glossy black.

I don’t think you’d go from 3-4 days a charge to 18 hours with a Series 3. 18 hours is Apple's standard figure for actual use. It was the same for the Series 2. If you actively use the Watch (either Series) for a mixture of processor intensive tasks, including cellular-based tasks on the 3, then you will get 18 hours. If you just use it for looking at the time, you’ll still get 3-4 days on a charge.

Take a look at the official tech specs for the Series 2 here. It says 18 hours, just like the Series 3

Exactly... unless you like to be Dick Tracy and talk on your watch for a long time, we should expect the same type of battery life.

I still only charge my watch when I shower and get ready for work. That 30 minutes is the only time I charge my series 2 and can go a week without charging back to 100%. 23 1/2 hours per day with a 1 1/2-2 hour charge once a week.

Anyone know if there is a battery improvement from the series 0 to series 3 Apple Watch? My Apple Watch lasts the day but it gets to about 20% for when I got to bed, I'd like better life in a future Apple Watch.

The Series 3 seems to have comparable battery life to the 2. The 2 was a vast improvement over 0. Often I’d have well over 50% left at bedtime.

Ceramic grey at 5:45

Must say it looks very much like the entry aluminium just shiny instead of matt

Yeah it looks oddly plasticky and cheap. The white just looks so clean, especially with the black dot. The new red dot throws off the stormtrooper feel!

Or it is now the "Finn Stormtrooper with Blood Marks" watch :)

Look a little closer, the charging cushion is included along with the usb to lightening cable. They just only show the cable in the picture.
Yes I looked at it. The stand I have have charges the watch and phone while taking up less room on my nightstand
