The red band looks pretty sweet with the dreaded dot...
I very much wonder if the red dots more like the latest PRODUCT RED spot band and not the old one
Received my Series 3 Gray Ceramic Edition 42mm today. Uploaded a few photos onto my Flickr page you can check them out in full resolution there. I've got a TON of photos of my Series 2 White Ceramic with like 20+ different official Apple Watch band combinations on there as well.
The gray is okay, I wish it were darker black closer to the black stainless steel color. Don't know how I feel about the garish red crown yet so far I'm not a fan.

Gorgeous pics! This pic makes it look very shiny, almost stainless steel like.
Is it noticeable that's it's not a space grey aluminium when you wear it?
Yes, it definitely doesn't look like the aluminum models. I think most people would mistake it for a black stainless steel at first glance. Maybe that's why Apple decided not to go with a darker black, to differentiate from the black ss model.

Mine isn’t being delivered until 25/10, so I have ages to wait. After seeing all these pictures I’m getting rather impatient to say the least...
I’m wondering if I made a mistake by going for the white over the grey now. The grey looks much better than the terrible pics Apple has posted.
i think grey will be as difficult to combine with bands as the space grey or black ss... its a weird color!
Anyone who’s gotten theirs. Did it come with the booklet telling how Apple made the ceramic?
Did your watch come with the Apple charging stand (the circular one).
I read somewhere that it comes free with the edition but it doesn’t say so in the Apple store app under “what’s in the box”.

Here are 3 not-photographic pictures of my gray edition with the standard band, the Apple Milanese from my S0, and a knock off black Milanese from Amazon. Starting to question my choice of gray. Seems like gray, blue go best with it. The silver milanese is my next favorite. I'm picking up a black nylon loop and maybe a nike blue sport tomorrow.

not a mistake but it is just a matter of taste. The pics Apple posted looked IMO too dark. This Watch is really Audi Nado Grey.

To be honest, looking at this thread now and looking at my S0 stainless, I want a white ceramic TOO now. Oh this is dangerous.

yep I fully agree, but again all combo's are a personal matter of taste. IMO the ceramics do not match with leather (except the loops)
but more with rubber or textile. No stainless adapters in the ceramics too :. But hey I am the person that never liked silver grey silver cars with light grey leather

I didn't put all the ones I took in this thread.Now I'm kind of wondering if I should have stuck with the white ceramic, I really loved the series 2 white ceramic cause it matches so well with a ton of bands. The new 'gray' is kind of a strange hue we've never seen in any Apple devices before.

Have you paired your grey ceramic with the bands you have and see if any of them match to your liking?
Not yet, I'll post more photos when I try it with all my other bands.
The thing I've noticed from the few I've tried so far is the gray looks really gaudy with dark colored bands. Kind of sticks out like a sore thumb. The dark stainless steel black watch works much better in blending in with the black milanese/link bracelet/etc. The white ceramic worked well because it was such a huge contrast in color, this gray just looks like it's missing a few coats of paint lol
