That does not sound right. Zhengzhou, Henan Province is where they actually produce the iPhones and that’s where the Foxconn Hong Hai iPhone factory is. The Apple Watches are produced in Suzhou, Zhejiang Province, they are completely two different cities and that would not be geographically efficient to ship the product.

When did yours switch to preparing for shipping? I have two watches and they both finally says preparing for shipping as of this morning still set for 21st. No way of tracking through UPS either.
I’ve had shipments in the past that don’t show up at all until after clearing Canada Customs. Then all the past tracking scans suddenly show up in the history.
I wouldn’t panic just yet. Actually I wouldn’t panic at all. If it’s late, it’s late.
I guess I'm just too excited to get rid of my S0 Apple Watch which can't even last a day on the battery.
Heres what I figured out looking at UPS Air Routes:
Flight UPS81 leaves Shanghai daily at about 9:00pm (Shanghai time) to Anchorage, its about an 8 hour flight. (which actually takes -8 hours because of international date line).
UPS2997 leaves Anchorage for Louisville nightly at about 11:30pm (Anchorage time), its a 5-6 hour flight. (9-10 hours with time change).
From Louisville there are flights to Local Hubs, in my instance for Boston Logan there is a weekday flight UPS1014 that leaves Louisville at 4:00am, arriving about 2 hours later.
There is also UPS2014 that runs some days leaving Louisville ay 4:00pm and arrives about 6:00pm in Boston.

I'm in the same boat. I ordered a SS 44MM Milanese loop, and the watch still shows processing, but the phone shows preparing for shipment, both with a September 21st delivery date.

Yes from Shanghai, it will take ups multiple flights to get all the watches out
Let me get one of those departure scans... Shanghai is like Vegas - more than a few days is overkill
