Series 4 Pre-order thread

This not knowing thing is killing me. I've always preordered the new phone but only did the watch this year. I have a 10/5 - 10/12 date from Apple but the order I placed with Best Buy just says "We'll let you know when it ships".

If I knew for certain that I wasn't getting it until early to mid-October, I'd probably be able to relax a little but I feel compelled to check my Best Buy status every five or so minutes. I've seen people say they've called and been told it's coming on the 21st but both times I called it was basically "We can't tell you anything more than what's showing online.".

I'm trying to pretend my Series 3 is my new one but this is the first time I've gone stainless and I'm not falling for it.

I am in the same boat. I have one ordered from Apple hoping the dates move up... And 3 versions of SS from Best Buy. I was undecided on which SS model to get... So who ever ships first wins..

Meanwhile.... last year I bought an SS SB on the Saturday after launch day from an Apple store when it showed up for in store pickup.... I will be looking to do that again too..

last year it just showed up for in store pick up on apple.com

My thought is that store stock will start arriving on Wednesday and Thursday. They will still get new stock on Friday.... I don't know if those items are instantly for sale or pop up the next day.

Meaning... you are at the store 8 AM and they are out of 44mm SS...... 2 hours later UPS delivers more.... and some tool like me clicks at 2PM to get the watch you wanted.

Now I also know for sure that some years... In store pickup has been disabled on launch day except for pre-orders.

1. Go to UPS.com
2. Click on Tracking Header Link
3. Select Track and Tracking History (from drop down)
4. Locate the Track Packages & Freight Tab
5. (Do not Track by Number) Select “Track By Reference”
6. Input your order number - kind of - remove the letter in front and the last two digits. EX: “W123456789” -> “1234567”
7. A full blown tracking number will appear in the results field (center & right of page) along with a status of the tracking number if it found your reference number
8. Click on the tracking number
9. Hur-Ray!

Nothing still showing on ’s end. No charge on my CC yet.

Weird. On Pre-order night I made 2 separate orders right at 12:01pst. One for the phone and one for the watch. My card got charged for the phone already but nothing yet for the watch. Both have orde numbers and tracking numbers through UPS though. Both have shown 21 Sep delivery dates since the start.

Same for mine, and my scheduled delivery dates range from October 12-19. Not sure how accurate this method of tracking is for actual delivery of the product to my door.
 
Ordered preorder day at 12:01 am got charged on sunday and now preparing to ship ordered 44 mm space grey gps only

They also have to fit on the screen of the 40 (or old 38mm) wathces too.
 
So a little update. I Found that using my reference number by SG SS 44 9/28-10/3 has a UPS tracking number and is headed for Washington State with delivery 9/21. I live in Michigan which so the destination is wierd, it also says it's a "World Ease" package. When looking that up I get this from UPS: UPS World Ease helps you to ship packages to multiple recipients within a country or the European Union (EU) as one shipment that clears customs as a single transaction

So, while I'm not expecting my watch on 9/21, I am thinking I might have it before 9/28 since it should be in the US on Friday.

Make sure you search with the zip code and not just the order number w/o last two digits. I get 4 results doing that without the zip and they are going to places other than me.

What time was your email confirmation.

This is true. Mine had two others until I put my zip code in.

That seems to be it, no match with my zip. Thanks for bursting my bubble!:D
Oh well, we'll see if Best Buy comes through!

Don’t worry. All these shipping companies keep you in suspense until last minute. I’m actually glad in a way I slipped to 24th because I’m not stressing out whether I will be in Friday or not to receive and stress all weekend if I missed LOL.
 
The UPS trick doesn’t work for Australia, the pre approval has dropped off my account. Delivery is still slated for 21/09/18 in the preparing to ship phase according to Apple.
