My guess is that the Link bracelet is too pricey for many and wasn’t the success that Apple hoped, hence they have debuted Graphite with a matching Milanese. Hopefully a matched link will come once more have been sold through and there is a bigger potential market.

I must admit I really liked the Milanese, too, and it was primarily the scratch-risk that put me off using it on a regular basis. With the Graphite Milanese being PVD that risk should be minimised so I will be happy to run with it as a daily band.

But I still love the Link, and hold out hope for it to become an option.

No need to fear scratching with the Milanese if you exercise some caution when putting it on or off and when storing it; one way is to disconnect one end of the strap from the watch and lay it flat out, or keep it connected and lay it on its side with something in between the back of the watch and the strap (a charger maybe? ;)).

As for the link bracelet: Take a look at https://bluestein.de/products/glied...rschluss-fuer-apple-watch-serie-1-2-3-4-und-5 !
I have one of these and you will be very, very hard pressed to tell the difference to the original Apple one, quality-wise; in fact, I like their space gray link bracelet so much better than the Apple SB one, that I mostly use this one with the SS SB Watch!
Don't know whether they also ship to the US, but you can always make an inquiry to support@bluestein.de.
No, I'm not affiliated with them; I simply love their link bracelets... ;)

Yeah, I wouldn't have ever bought it except for finding a source on eBay for discounted ones that are either real or so close to real that nobody's been able to discern a difference.

See my post in this thread:
Is this ebay seller too good to be true? Stainless link bands, OEM apple bands

I've been tempted by the Milanese loop, but dissuaded for the same reasons. I am intrigued by the new leather link - but honestly I don't switch bands all that much and tend to generally just keep a sport loop on the watch since I use it for running. Link bracelet is mostly for when I'm dressing up for some reason.

Hermès space black series 5 was black as heck, wet/ shiny looking and I loved it. Tbh I don’t even like shiny stuff much or piano black but it just looked luxe and rich. It’s hard to go back to aluminum, this time I ordered the blue and the space black Hermès44, wondering if it will come in the same all black packaging like last year. It seems like the black Hermès sport band is confirmed

no black packaging
