Hello everyone,
I’m setting up a new iPhone for my girlfriend and want to set up a new Apple ID due to concerns about others having access to her old one. Is there any way to migrate data from one Apple ID to another?

Apple allows one to migrate purchases but not data.

Migrating data would require a 3rd party utility like iMazing, but only certain data can be transferred. For example, health data can't be transferred between Apple accounts.

Thank you @Bigwaff. Is it possible to transfer imessages history? I know iMazing can make them into PDFs but I don’t know about transferring the message chain.

Was thinking about this some more. I think your girlfriend can keep the Apple account. Just have your girlfriend 1) change the Apple account password, 2) remove other phone numbers from sign-in security, 3) make girlfriend email primary email for Apple account, 4) remove other email addresses from sign-in security except primary email address. You do these and nobody else will have access except girlfriend.

Thank you! I’m going to try to do this. Only issue is will need to wait to reset her password since she forgot it due to stolen device peotection being on by default. This will be much simpler though

Just changed my wife’s Apple account from @yahoo to an iCloud email address, reset her password and setup legacy contact. I finally added her to my family sharing plan so she now has access to all my purchased Apple media and subscriptions.

One thing I will add to the other posters suggestions:

Start fresh by removing all other devices associated with her iCloud, all past iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Apple TVs, HomePods, etc.

Good luck.
