The 2014 15" MacBook Pro is not quite identical to the 2015 apart from the force touch trackpad. Some models also have an NVidia GPU.I agree it's not likely to be curtains for all Intel Macs within 2 years, but the way things are going, they seem to be quite hurriedly dropping models by historic standards. Big Sur dropped 2 years worth of Macs, Monterey drops another 2 years. I don't know if they will keep it up and next year will drop 2015s and 2016s, or if they will take a break, but given the 2014 MacBook Pro got dropped while the identical but for force touch 2015 is still supported suggests this is being driven by a desire to pare down the number of Intel macs that need a version of the OS quickly rather than by how well the OS actually runs.
