JROC453,

Until you get the new screen protectors in, you can try spraying some 'quick detailer' (for cars) on a microfiber cloth and gently wiping down the screen. It gives the screen protector a very slick finish and helps out a little with the fingerprints and dust.

Ha ... Really? I will have to try that... thanks.;) Do you know if the oleophobic screen protector is matte though? Its been asked a few times here but never been answered. And after looking at all of them...the one for finger prints seems to be the only one that says its a matte finish... and I'm not a big fan of that.

no the oleophobic is not a matte finish and it will not ruin the look of your screen.

Good to hear. Ya, I have Steinhills product and I'm really happy with it. I hope I will be happy going from the Crystal film to the oleophobic film.

Ok cool :) So why would someone "like me" buy the Crystal over the OLEOPHOBIC? I will have both once it ships. I don't know why I didn't go for the oleophobic in the first place then

honestly...I couldn't tell ya. I know one member bought both and said he could not see any difference. I bought both and they should be here hopefully by tomorrow.

EDIT: actually I think the Crystal offers slightly better protection (as in hardness of the film), but in everyday use i'm not sure how much that actually makes a difference.

Cool.. please let us know if you see a difference in the two. Not that it matters cuz even if I wanted to cancel my order they would have to reply to my email first... that would probably be after I received my order ;)

I wish i knew about them years ago with my previous phones...

I have used zagg and others and WOW... the install was easy and near perfect and the fact they give you extra film is a plus

To anybody debating on whether to get Steinhill stuff i say go for it...

BTW anybody want unopened Wrapsol Ultras? lolll

According to iLounge, they say that the oleophobic is actually a bit CLEARER than the crystal, as counterintuitive as that is..it was mentioned before, I think the crystal is a little thicker than the oleophobic so maybe a bit more scratch protection?

Just to be clear, these are both of the crystal clear variety, nothing like the anti-fingerprint/matte type protectors that dull the screen to prevent fingerprints..the oleophobic will not prevent fingerprints, it simply makes them easier to remove with a quick wipe

Where on iLounge does it talk about the oleophobic being clearer? I'd like to read that.

So is it just like the oloeophobic coating that is used on the 3GS screens? I want something that will minimize fingerprints and smudges. With the crystal films I am constantly having to wipe them off with a cloth or t-shirt. The 3GS screens were pretty smudge-free.

I ordered 1 set of the Oleophobic skins. The first protector had a scratch and both had marks around the ear piece and volume button after I removed the protective coating.

I removed both skins from the iPhone and looked at them in a bright light. The marks were visible on both so it was not an installation problem.

On a positive note they were easy to install, but the quality was terrible. Very disappointed. Im emailing customer service now for a replacement and then a refund if the new set doesnt work.

Best screen protector available. Bar none.

There are some others that offer a good value. But "best" one? The Ultra Oleophobic from SGP.

See... Good stuff... I will give my 2 cents once I get my new screen. I will compare the two. But am really happy to hear some good reviews!!!

Yeah it's similar to the 3gs/4 screen, where it still gets fingerprints but they wipe off easily, as opposed to the old 3g/original iphone screens which really needed to be wiped down thoroughly

The Ultra Oleophobic is the best screen protector I have ever used! Just a shame it dies not have a back protector so ended up buying the ultra clear kit also. They both fitted perfect with no issues around the home button or spear areas.

Received my Steinheil EX Ultra Crystal Clear, just installed it and it is prefect. It was the easiest install I have done to date and I am very pleased with the results. I would happily recommend this to anyone (who has an iPhone 4).

did you guys receive a shipping confirmation email from sgp when you ordered your screen protectors? i ordered mine two days ago with priority shipping so that i could receive it by today or tomorrow, but i haven't heard back from them since the order placement e-mail.

Ya, mine shipped out yesterday morning according to their website and I have yet to receive any sort of email either.

IMO you will be very happy with the clarity of the oleophobic. As far as an email I never received anything, but if you login to your account on the scgstore.com site it will let you know when the item shipped. For those of you wondering if the EX full body has a cutout for the flash, it does.
