Hi all I ordered the SGP Incredible Shield Ultra Matte last week. I just received it the package for it from USPS, thankfully. I got my iPhone 4 this morning wasn't planning on opening it until I had this to put on it.

Anyways going to install the shield right now and let you guys know how it is.

Nice dude. Take some photographs too if you can.

For those of you who ordered the EX Ultra series film through SGPstore.com what does your order status indicate?
06/21/2010 Processing
06/22/2010 Pending

EDIT: Just got a confirmation e-mail that mine has shipped.

Just got confirmation as well! I ordered the Crystal set. We'll see if the front cam is covered or not in the next day or so. USPS from socal usually only take a day or two to get to me in norcal.

Ordered Ultra Crystal full body set about an hour ago. Although the site says it's backordered and will be in stock tomorrow, I just got a shipping notice from them and my online status shows "Shipped out!" as well. If you are in west coast like I am, you might be able to get the kit quite soon. :)

Does anyone know if the SGP EX ultra crystal have the cut outs for the LED flash and the front camera?

wondering the same... from the diagrams on their website, it looks like they don't include these cut outs

Congrats on both accounts! I ordered the Incredible Shield Ultra Matte as well and am very curious about how the install is, how the film looks and whether they have all the appropriate cutouts on front and back. Looking forward to hearing about your experience (and pics, if possible)...

I think their needs to be a cutout for the flash. I took some pics with flash with the plastic wrap the iPhone 4 comes with and the flash and it took some really badly bluish dimly lit photos. Not very good at all.

I'd like to see what people experience with their SPG and flash.

Thank you for ordering from SGPStore.com. The following has been shipped and is on its way. Please login to our website to view your order details - View Order Link .

The shipment shipped by USPS First Class Mail (usually takes 3 to 4 business days)

My order for EX Ultra Crystal film at cretouch.com shipped out this morning.:)
Free upgrade to Priority mail for compensating delay. Hopefully get it by tomorrow. I will post it again once I installed on my iPhone 4.

The SGP Incredible Shield does not have cutouts for the flash or the front facing camera.....me is pissed.

Thanks for letting us know. Did you get the clear or anti-glare? I assume this is the case for both of them...and it is very disappointing. I guess it's possible that not having the cutout for the flash is OK (these films are probably optically more true than the temporary Apple protective film, which 'caranddriver' reported does not yield positive results. Also, I could see that maybe the front camera may be OK with the crystal but probably not the anti-glare. Hopefully SGP makes this right (refunds or free replacements once they make the appropriate cutouts)

I wonder if this is the case also for the other Steinheil anti-glare films...can anyone comment on that? I'm trying to figure out alternatives now and I'm pretty sure for anti-glare the front cam will need a cutout.

MEE TOO, I sent them an email... AND ... I ordered the Ultra Matte, I was expecting the front screen protector to have a clear but matte finish, like 3gs anti-glare invisishield. Just the back and side covers are matte!

Now I'm nervous about mine. Can't believe they wouldn't cut a hole on the front. Seems so obvious

I'm thinking too. I have powersupport on my 3GS, but I don't want to wait a month for them to sell them.

I was thinking of matte on my i4, but maybe I'll try crystal. I want it to be as best clarity. Best Idea?

Looking at the picture in the dark that jmike314 posted in the other thread, that doesn't look too bad. In fact, I even wonder whether the matte would 'soften' the sometimes harsh phone-camera-flash effect.

I'm more concerned about corduroy73's report that the Ultra MATTE Incredible Shield front is NOT MATTE! This probably will work better for the front camera not having a cut-out but I'd rather have matte with a cutout!

OK.....
If you're ordering the SGP Incredible Shield here are a couple of things:
1. In the full body kits, the front screen protector is the Steinheil Ultra Crystal Clear. It is a stiffer plastic than the coatings for the back of the phone.

2. The clear shield for the front screen protector does not seem to affect the front facing camera...the wife and I tried out the face time and it seemed fine to us.

3. The backing for the Incredible Shield Ultra Coat doesn't seem to harm the flash much. Check my posted photos for an example.

4. If you get the MATTE, it will cause the flash to wash out photos...similar to taking a picture right out of the box with the Apple protector still on the phone. Put this on the wife's phone and tried it out...since she's getting a case, I'll just remove it later.

They have crystal EX is back. I just ordered it. Sweet. I'll have to check it out soon. I really wanted powersupport and not wait until july 26th. Lame.

They shoulda hurried before. :eek::D

Why don't you just get a hole puncher and punch out the LED light?

I may do that.
Right now...the wife plans on getting an iFrogz case for here phone. So, I will either remove it when she gets the case or modify it if she wants to keep it.

The main purpose of getting the shields was to have protection for the phone as soon as it came out of the box. Now we can wait until a case we like shows up on the market.

I just got the Steinheil Ultra Coat today. I'll see if I can find another camera to take some pics, but here are some interesting notes in the meantime:

  • The Front is a dry (static) install while the 'soft-skin' back and sides are a wet install. They include a spray bottle of application solution for the back & sides.
  • The kit provides 'complete' coverage, but the metal volume buttons will not be covered. Also note the edges of the metal band surrounding the iP4 will be exposed.
  • As several have noted, there are no cutouts for the front camera or rear LED flash

General impressions? Looks gorgeous! The front is crystal clear and looks like nothing is on at all save for some slight 'lifting' near open spaces like the home button and earpiece. Unfortunately the back doesn't look nearly as smooth...I think that has more to do with the fact that I've never done a wet install before and may have mucked it up. I've got another kit already on order from Cretouch (the SGP order actually got here first) so I may reattempt the back.

Also, I've noticed no degradation in image quality or clarity without the cutouts for flash or the front facing camera. Nice that I get the added protection!

All in all it's near perfect. Once my bumper gets here for impact protection that should complete the package!

Wet installs never look as good IMO and I have tried almost every brand.

Has anyone received the EX Ultra Crystal yet? If so, what's the verdict?

Excuse the poor quality...taken with a 3G in low light. Actually they are fairly clear with the exception of the volume button pic, but that's just to give an idea of the separation between kit pieces.
