I just installed mine. It looks great. If it weren't for the bubbles around the home button and the earpieces, I wouldn't be able to tell there was a screen protector. It looks a 100% clear to me with no degradation of quality to the screen.

I also liked how well my finger slides across the screen.

Looking forward to the replacement screen protectors with a hole for the flash.

I have the bubble around the ear piece that reappears.

Good enough for now, but I think I'll go Power Support or whoever iLounge rates highest for the long term.

Tactile feel is great & thick enough for protection.

So the EX Ultra Crystal full body film came in today and even though they are missing certain cut outs I decided to go ahead and install one. The screen install was virtually flawless. I don't have a single bubble on the front so that's great.

The back was pretty much the same except I didn't line it up completely even so if you look closely on the very right edge you may see a slight bit of air but nothing that stands out.

The sides look good as well, --however if you look closely you will see a small piece overlaps on to another piece--not sure if it's supposed to be that way or if I just didn't align it perfectly. Even still, you can barely tell those are there at all, unless of course you put it right up to your eyes.

All in all, it looks pretty good to me. I will definitely keep it on until I'm able to get my hands on a film with the proper cut outs.

this must be a common problem too cause I have the bubble around the ear piece.

Most likely I'll be getting a PS as well.

Too bad the email contained about 500 other customer emails. Couldn't have BCC could ya SGP.

SGP Steinheil EX Ultracrystal (not incredible shield) pics showing the bluish color discoloration problem caused by not having a hole for the flash

NOTE:This is for the EX ultracrystal (hard back screen) not the incredible shield ultra coat (soft back screen)

pics with the back screen on (ie flash covered by screen)

pics with the screen off (ie flash not covered)

I can hardly notice the differnce, can you?

BTW, I emailed Sgpstore.com customer service alerting them to this post and the above issue - we'll see what happens

Just wanted to post a follow up to this message about the blue pictures as I just installed my EX Ultra Crystal films. There is a blueish protective film on the back film as well as the front. They just cheaped out and and didn't include a pull tab to make the removal easy like on the front film.

I had to use my fingernail to "scrape" the protective film off at a corner. Once I peeled this blue film off, even pictures with the flash with no cut out look decent.

Just in case people think the blue look is by default...

Defected Part of the Products list is

1. SGP Steinheil EX Series Crystal Clear for Apple iPhone 4 (Only BackSide Ultra Crystal Films)

I'm confused, Isn't the front facing camera also covered up by the screen protector??, Why are they only fixing the rear shield??

I really want to purchase this but i don't want the front camera covered up.

Here's a photo with flash off, and a photo with flash on under the film. Not sure how much it distorts the image but the shutterbug dude definitely had to have left the blue film on.

No, the blue film was removed in my pics

The key in getting bluish discoloration is taking pics with flash in an envirnment that NEEDS flash (ie if no flash you get essentially no picture).

If you take pics with and without flash in a environment that really doesnt need flash, as in the above two pics of the camera - there is no blue. Try reproducing the above pics without backlighting. Youll have a pic without flash that you can barely see and one with flash with the blue tint

Oh alright. here's one I took in the complete dark. I guess I'm seeing somewhat of a blueish effect on the left side but certainly not to the extent of the photo you posted.

The reason why everyone is having air bubbles near the earphone and home button is that SGP is using a cheap process to create the cutouts. Companies with *proper* equipment don't have those issues.

Unless they've changed their cutout process, expect to see continued bubbles near where the cutout's are.

It seems like SGP is replacing the back shields. They ship July 2nd. Glad they are listening to their customers.

Just got an e-mail from cretouch.com. They will also be offering refunds or replacement back films.

That sucks. Heard so many good things about these and people saying they were the best screen protectors out there. So if I order online will they ship me the fixed ones with the cutouts? I just got a Zagg but haven't installed it yet after I read the reviews that said it has a horrible orange peel rubbery effect. Are these more like the Power Support crystal films?

Too bad the email contained about 500 other customer emails. Couldn't have BCC could ya SGP.

Hah, got the same email and thought the same thing! By fixing one problem they created another. :p

I'm a first time customer of SGP with the iPhone 4. Prior to them I used PS and was a huge fan. My bro put the Zagg on his and I am not a fan of the feel. He is though so good for him. Simply a matter of preference, I suppose.

Just my luck that I haven't installed it yet because AT&T ruined my pre-order.

I don't mind the mishap as long as I get a fix... things happen! Waiting patiently to try them out...

For the defected part of the products you've received, you don't have to return it to us, instead, please accept it as our complimentary gift for causing you a trouble.
This makes it sound like you'll have to return all of the film (except the defected piece) to receive a refund?

looks like they updated their site again with new products and with pictures of back with the flash cutout

Their website now says *WITH FLASH CUT OUT on the product page so I'm going to place an order and take back that cursed Zagg tomorrow and I'm not waiting another month for Power Support to get with the program.

Interesting - those pics show a cut out for the front camera.

No mention was made about this being replaced, only the back screen

Wonder if this will be replaced as well

I only see that updated for the Ultra Fine screen shields on their website but not for the Ultra Crystal which is what i want. I hope they update that picture also. I want the front cut out for the camera aswell.

so they are just replacing the products that have the back film?

Nothing for the ones that just ordered a front screen protector?

I didn't see an email from them. Maybe cause I just got a screen protector.

If that's the case, I'll take advantage of the 30 day money back guarantee and send it back. I'll wait and see if they do fix it.

It's obvious the front needs a cutout too for the front facing camera.
