In the original email sent out to those who bought this, he stated that there are no defects in the product and that future production runs (of EX Crystal) will have the flash cut out. No mention of a cut out for the front facing camera. I don't expect it, myself.
 
Yeah I don't think the front will have a cut out. I'm going to buy a hole puncher in a couple days and just snip the front one out.

It's disapointing if they don't cut that camera hole out. If using a hole puncher it might warp the screen and cause bubble effect around the camera area.
 
For the past day I have been using the ULTRA OLEOPHOBIC Anti-oil. It's a great product. It helps with finger prints and oils from your hands and face. Clarity is awesome. The only draw back I've had is the screen is really soft. It scratches very easy. I have a little nick on mine and I've been using a microfiber folio. I wish this shield was a bit tougher.

I think he's doing the right thing:

1) full replacement a.s.a.p.
2) heartfelt apology for the BCC error

He gets a pass from me, and to be clear tactilely the SGP EX Ultra Crystal is just a smooth on a finger pass as my PS Crystal on my 3G -- unlike the Zagg.
 
I ordered the "SGP Steinheil EX Protection Film for iPhone 4 - ULTRA CRYSTAL (High-Definition Full Body Protection Film Set)" kit from Cretouch on Thursday and received it TODAY via USPS Priority Mail. (Awesome speed!) Installed it on my iPhone 4, which I also received today. (It had been sitting at work since Wednesday, while I was on vacation.)

As expected, the crystal film really shows fingerprints -- but at least it's protecting the phone. I've already e-mailed Cretouch to ask them to send new back films, and I'll be ordering anti-glare/anti-fingerprint films from them as soon as they are available.

What the heck you need 2 cases fer? 1 case is all you really need.
 
Has anyone cut their own hole for this? I was going to give it a try with a hole puncher but I tried on the little film that comes on the new iPhone and it doesn't cut the hole through entirely so I think I'll just wait for the back replacement and not worry about the front for now I guess.

While we wait for replacements backs I was I going to use a hole punch to do a flash hole. Unfortunately, can't seem to locate our hole punch...
 
Bought a hole punch today. Would not recommend it at all.

All that will happen is you will crimple the film. Unless you get an industrial, 1000 psi hole puncher - don't try it.
 
I ordered from Cretouch. I have not been impressed with their customer service and communication. I am getting a refund on the EX series skins and going to replace them with Wrapsol Original.

I wasnt really impressed with the look or fit of the SGP EX series. I also dont trust that the recall is going to fix the quality issues with the bubbles around their cutouts.
 
To the people who have gotten or will be getting replacements, please post the specific SGP screen/back protector, as well as pictures or impresssions. So far i'm up in the air as to which to get, but opinions are greatly appreciated. Does anyone have any experience with the matte finish ones? i was thinking this would look cool on the back and then doing a crystal one on the front? Let me know any thoughts.
 
Did anyone get any news on when the Steinheil EX Ultra Crystal $21.99 will be back In Stock?

What's the refund process you're going through? I was not impressed by the quality of the SGP films either and I'm looking to receive a refund from cretouch. Do you have to send yours back to them first?
 
i am definately getting a wrapsol ultimate... but can anyone who have already received their sgp and used a wrapsol ultimate in the past tell me which one has a clearer screen protector?
 
Got my Crystal shields last night. The lack of cutout for the flash definitely does impact the picture, regardless of what SGP says. Otherwise, they seem ok but I still think the PS shields I had on my 3G and have on my iPad are more "invisible".

When installing the side protectors, be careful. These stretch pretty easy and get warped out of shape before you know it.

Definitely agree. Nowhere near the problem some cases have but the back film does slightly tinge flash photos. Hopefully, the updated back film fixes that issue.

Im still in the process. I emailed them telling them i wanted a refund, but it takes them forever to reply.
 
Spoke to SGP

They plan on shipping them out on Wednesday. So we all should be good by Friday. Curious of everybody else's experience.
